Upon removing the old shingles, Wayne identified significant damage to the roof deck and the need to relocate two vent pipes. He promptly addressed these issues, replacing half of the roof deck and installing GAF WeatherWatch leak barrier and GAF Tiger Paw synthetic felt. Despite not having time to install the shingles before a severe rainstorm, the protective measures held up remarkably well, there were no leaks whatsoever.
