“Great experience with the staff and doctors. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is there's been a wait both times I've been there. Nothing ridiculous, maybe 15-20 minutes after the appointment time.“

“As soon as you walk in you are greeted in a positive light. When waiting for the Doctor, his medical assistant has a wonderful smile and the when the Doctor comes in he was polite and caring while talking about what needs to be and addressed all of my questions.

First off, Dr. Trizna is a fantastic doctor. He was able to get results for my dermatitis and keep it at bay. He cares about his patients, listens and offers options.
Dr. Trizna gets 5 stars, Austin Skincare gets 3. I took off one star for Dr. Trizna for the group he is a part of.

My beef is with the business group he is with now, Skincare Austin. Like more and more healthcare facilities, they are not so transparent on costs.
When Dr. Trizna had his own practice, if I needed a prescription refilled, they would charge $15 without a visit (unless it has been over 2 years).
When at SkinCare Austin, over two years since seeing a doctor, I had go in to see Dr. Trisna for a refill (on medicated shampoo - not a real drug). This visit was to cost around $50 at the time (paying out of pocket).
After Dr. Trizna gave me a quick look, he asked if I had any questions. And I did ask him about skin tags and he answered. When I go to check out, they tell me the bill is over $200. I ask why. They said because it was a consultation since I asked a question unrelated to my initial visit. Keep in mind I spent MAYBE 5 minutes total with Dr. Trizna.

Now, if that is the policy, Dr. Trizna should have informed me at the time, that any question not related to my visit would be treated as a full session. Maybe he was not aware, who knows. But no. I find out the hard way at checkout.

I did contest the bill and Skincare Austin reluctantly, did not charge me the full amount.
This is happening all over now. Offices conveniently fail to disclose all costs ahead of time.

Now I go online to Dr. B's for refills ($15 consult).

In conclusion, Dr. Trizna is a highly qualified doctor I highly recommend. If you decide to see him, make sure the facility gives you an accurate cost breakdown before you go! Ask about costs for everything you plan on talking about. But I will never go back.“
