“Shelton Construction has done a great job with a couple of projects for us in the last couple of years. While they normally do full home projects, Frank and the team organized a complete repaint of our home back in 2022. As part of the process, Frank suggested adding a wood topper to the front porch railing which added a classy look to the house. Little did we know we would have a pipe burst in the wall and flood our hardwood flooring downstairs during a Christmas Eve freeze just a few months later. Shelton Construction agreed to take on the process of taking up the warped wood and redoing the hand-scraped downstairs flooring that runs throughout the entirety of the first floor. Shelton worked with us as the insurance company was withholding funds due to an inaccurate initial assessment by the insurance adjuster. During the middle of that repair we noted some signs of a leak in the attic from an unrelated issue. Shelton helped us isolate an AC drain pipe that had been partially chewed through by a rodent leading to a slow leak in the attic that had gone unnoticed until the damage to the Sheetrock on the ceiling. Frank and his team helped us repair that apart from the flooring work. Shelton construction has been very easy to work with and has been responsive during each of the projects. The pictures attached are a warped floor pic followed by installed flooring prior to the application of stain and placement of baseboards. They worked hard to replace our wood floors to their prior level of beauty. We would highly recommend Shelton Construction for your DFW home projects.“
