“My 5yo granddaughter came to stay a couple days with us. Last night, a screw came out of her eyeglasses; she couldn’t wear them and I couldn’t fix them. I recall a friend telling me about the great service he got at ModernEYES so we stopped in this morning.

Optician Kaila Ressler greeted us immediately with genuine warmth and went to work on the problem. Even though her glasses weren’t purchased there she treated us like her favorite customers. In no time she had them fixed and even went the extra mile to check and adjust the fit so they wouldn’t slide down her little nose… all at no charge.

Thank you, Kaila! It’s not the fact that you didn’t charge me (I would have gladly paid) that I’m leaving this review. It’s because you helped me so cheerfully; with empathy and kindness… like we were family. Service like that is SO uncommon now. You made our day!!

“Great overall experience! The opticians were very thorough in explaining what they were doing in the earlier testing and Dr Link was informative while conducting the examination. He provided me options to consider for prescription glasses as I don’t have terrible vision, but could qualify for progressives. The last part when evaluating frames was super easy and the girl (forget her name) was very helpful in explaining the different types of lenses and also pros/cons of the different frames. “Called for an appt on a Wednesday and was able to be seen Friday. That was awesome! When I arrived there was no wait.
Nidi.. sorry if the spelling is incorrect, is such a joy. She made me feel like we were old friends. She also did her job very efficiently.
Dr Liang was straight forward without being brash. He is very honest as well. He saw I had trash for eye insurance and glasses were not covered. He let me know a prescription would be more catered to my eyes but readers would work just fine.
If you are thinking about using Liang for your eye care needs, don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed 😊“

“I haven't needed an eye doctor in over 20 years but when I had an emergency, they were able to fit me in for an afternoon appointment. Everyone there was so nice and knowledgeable.

The office was clean and everyone from the staff to the doctor were all amazing. I was happy to hear that the issue I was dealing with was temporary and that my eyes are still good.

My wife who does wear glasses has been looking for a new doctor ever since we moved back to Lancaster and she was able to sign up as a new patient as well. I would highly recommend coming here if you're in need of a doctor.“

“Pursuit is all around a fantastic practice. I came in for an evaluation after numerous concussions within a years time, along with an active tick Bourne infection. Both of these conditions deteriorated my vision and vestibular system. I had headaches, dizziness, and brain fog every day for years. Dr Greiss ran very thorough tests and was able to find the root causes of my vision issues. A 24 week therapy plan was made and Joanne was superb in leading me through that. I never thought I would ever see the improvements I’ve made over that period of time. My quality life is significantly better and I can’t thank Pursuit enough for helping me.“

“My mom moved to this area in 2010. She has been a customer of “Boscov’s Optical” for many years and has always been able to find the quality products she needs at a reasonable price and has always been treated with great customer service.

Recently my mom broke the frames for her glasses. I was unsure if they could be repaired or would need to be replaced, The challenge is that my mom now has Dementia and resides in a memory care unit. She was extremely upset and agitated as she cannot see well enough without her glasses to participate in “daily activities.” My mom was challenged to go with me to check on what could be done, so knowing she always went to Boscov’s Optical, I took her frames, and Tara Plackey, the Optical Manager was there to help me.

After inspecting the Frame, Tara informed me they could not be repaired. My goal was to replace the frames with the exact same frame. Tara was extremely patient in helping me go through the possibilities of replacement frames. The frame that broke was no longer available. Tara knew this was so important to me to get the right frames for my mom and she gave me all her time to help me. Tara offered a solution that was perfect for my mom! About a week later I took the broken frame to Tara, she “popped out the lenses,” placed them in the new frame, cleaned them, and they were ready for my mom.

Tara was truly a “guardian angel” for me and my mom. Tara was so kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. Broken frames may seem like a “small issue” to many people… but to my mom with dementia, it was a very “big challenge” and made me anxious. Tara has vast knowledge and is dedicated to helping her customers and I appreciate everything she did to help us so much. Boscov’s Optical is incredibly lucky to have Tara as their Manager!“

“My baby girl’s fingers went into my eyes a few times (ignored this for several weeks) and then I accidentally rubbed sunscreen in my eye which created burning and aching.

I figured I should get my eyes checked and also do a routine eye exam that I had neglected for 4 years.

They were able to squeeze me in that day to look at my eyes (got drops which made my eyes feel better the next day). I went back the following week for an eye exam. I didn’t wait long either time, and the doctor was thorough and very knowledgeable. He’s been practicing for many years. Also, everyone was very friendly, kind, and patient. (The other reviews on here can’t be accurate.)

I normally am a baby when it comes to getting drops put in, but the doctor calmly got them in without me hardly noticing.

I also picked out glasses which was super easy.

I will be returning here each time I need an eye appointment.

“Was out shopping in Lancaster, and hubby realized that the nosepads on his glasses needed replaced badly. We were greeted and treated by a wonderful young lady by the name of Daphne. She took the time to replace the nose pad pieces, adjusted his frames to make sure they fit comfortably, and then refused to accept any sort of payment for the job.What an enjoyable experience.“
