“It started with a woodpecker. One day I noticed 2 holes in my cedar board siding that went straight into the attic. That, coupled with some rotting and loose boards, sent me on a search for replacement siding. With what? I knew nothing about siding. I contacted 4 highly rated roofing and siding companies. All responded. 3 of them told me what was best for me without much discussion, provided quotes, and went radio silent. 1 company (JMS Home Remodeling) had an ongoing dialogue to educate me on options and listened to my many questions. They provided a solution that was not the cheapest, but was the BEST (CertainTeed Cedar Boards siding + gutters). I believe the other companies were quoting sub-optimal siding solutions in order to come in with the cheapest bid to get the business, whereas with JMS I went with a better quality product. Another consideration in my decision to go with JMS was that their Google reviews had numerous mentions of their siding work, whereas the other roofing and siding company reviews in general have minimal mention of siding and seemed to focus on roofing. I wanted to make sure that I went with someone that did not just dabble in siding replacement.
I could not be happier. The house looks great, the process from demo to installation was smooth, and having regular contact with the owners of the company goes a long way.”
