It turned out that much more of the plywood underlayment needed to be replaced than originally estimated. Ryan managed the need, got the plywood and they replaced all pieces that had been accumulating water damage. No extra charge. Next, they determined that the size of my chimney warranted a cricket to divert thewater, not simply new flashing. I expected a small diversion made of flashing. They built and shingled an entire small roof between the chimney and the main roof. It is attractive and does the job superbly. No extra charge. The entire roof looks gorgeous and now it also keeps the wind and weather out while allowing proper air circulation with a vent system that does not collapse.
