“So this is going to be a longer review, but I want folks to know how great this experience was.
We have an older home, wood siding and soffits that were in rough shape to say the least. Replacement was definitely in need. Further, there was 0 insulation in the walls and 0 sheathing on the exterior of the home. It was going to be a big job at over 2500 square feet of exterior to cover.
We called 3 different companies to come out and received 3 very different quotes. Company A, had a vague, single page quote that was cheapest by a good bit, but left lots of room for questions on quality assurance and actual ability to complete the job fully. Company C's quote was outrageous and borderline inappropriate. Either they priced themselves out completely, or really didn't want the job. Either way, they were easy to eliminate.
Enter company B, Dreamworx. These folks were super knowledgeable and super patient in the sale process as we explored options. They provided a 16 or 17 page quote detailing exact materials, time, and cost. There was no question they knew the job and were confident they'd be able to complete it. Their cost was right between the two others and while it was a stretch for us, I believe it to be very fair and worth it.
The guys working the job were onsite every morning by about 8:30 and worked solid til 5:30 or 6 outside of a lunchbreak. In the 100+ degree heat, they were doing insulation work despite my offer to have them stay home or stay safe in extreme temperatures. They came anyway and busted their tails. They cleaned up after themselves daily and we didn't have to worry too much about stepping on nails and certainly not about tripping over any cords or equipment, which was important to us given we have kids and animals. Once demo and insulation were done, sheathing and housewrap went on quickly as they took care to protect against any potential weather. Then the window wraps and siding followed by soffits and the job was done. All told, it was 4+ weeks of work...hard work.
Through it all, Aaron and Chad at DW were incredible with communication. A call or a text and they were getting right back to us or coming on site to resolve whatever our concerns or questions were within 10 or so minutes. That's no exaggeration. The open line of communication with these guys or the office (shout out to Stevie) was perhaps the best I've experienced with any company ever. It was like you had your friends working on your house, not a hired contractor.
There were minor hiccups along the way like any construction project on an older home will experience. Wifi got knocked out, a window got cracked, and some plaster/drywall damage on the interior as a result of the normal work. Nothing tragic by any means and I would not even mention here...but, DW stood behind their work and took care of those fixes where other companies (maybe with vague quotes) would simply throw that back on the homeowner as a change order.
With our final payment to DW being made today, it closes our experience with them. However, I would absolutely recommend, and have already, DW to anyone looking for exterior work to be done on their homes. I know that should we have additional need, they will certainly be given the opportunity to do work for us again.”
