“I would definitely recommend Hess Physical Therapy. When I started at Hess I had to use a wheel chair to get around or a cane to walk. My wife had to drive me to PT. After being treated by Dr Julie Thomas and the entire team , I am now able to walk without the wheelchair and cane, and can now drive myself everywhere I need to go. Dr Julie always asked before every treatment how is the pain. Dr Julie was always willing to listen and either added new treatments or adjusted the treatment I have been currently doing. The entire team was always there to help.“

“I love going here, and it's been a huge help with my flexibility. It's worth trying a couple of different people, as they have slightly different emphasis on the way they stretch you. Some of them have a physiology background (PT-in-training, etc), some have done a lot of dance, etc. Tyler has been fantastic for me, but find the person you work best with and stay with them for consistent results. My only complaint is that the membership system leaves a good bit to be desired. Two key issues:1) You are required to buy a 3-month package, and then it's a recurring subscription after that. Sometimes you only want a couple of stretches, and sometimes you want more.2) This "package" problem is compounded by the way the online reservation system works. You get your 4 "credits" per month, but you can't book in advance of the credit. The credits expire every month too, so they're basically only good for the month they are issued. This means if you get your credits on March 1st, you can't book anything until that day. Good instructors tend to book 7-10 days in advance, so there goes the first week of the month. The, of course, the credit expires on the 31st of march, so if you were trying to go once/ week every week, it's difficult to make that work. They should extend the credits so that they are good for 60 days, or let members reserve in advance.“

“If I could give Mason 10 stars I would! I have not had relief in my neck and back in many years due to fibromyalgia and especially recently after an accident. Mason had me feeling amazing after just one appointment, and continues to give great care weekly. I look forward to our appointments! Mason is also very personable and easy to talk to! A true gem!“

“I am very happy with the results of my physical therapy, Dr. Chris is an excellent Physical Therapist. It is truly stressful when you cannot do normal routine things without pain. To be able to climb stairs, walk normally, and have quality of life again is truly wonderful. I cannot thank Dr. Chris and Hess Physical Therapy enough. You don't realize how much you take normal for granted, until it is taken away. Thanks to Dr Chris, I was able to get back to normal, if not better!!! Highly recommend Dr Chris!!!“

“Stan helped me rehab my knee after a meniscus repair surgery. He is very thorough and makes sure the patient understands each exercise and its impact on recovery. While attending PT I always felt on track with my surgeon’s recovery protocol with the help of Stan. There was plenty to take away from each session as well so that I could also make progress at home or at the gym.“

“I live in Johnstown Pa. and over the summer of 23' my wife noticed that I wasn't acting like myself so we went to see our family doctor. He sent me for an MRI and found an abnormality on my brain but they didn't know what it was. The medical options in Johnstown are functional at best and I certainly wouldn't trust them with any major operations or even to correctly read the MRI. My family doctor recommended me to Dr. Bradley Gross at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh for an angiogram of the brain. Dr. gross found an aneurysm on my brain that had a real possibility of rupturing and suggested to have preventative surgery to keep the aneurysm from killing me. Dr. Gross works with some of the most brilliant people that I have ever met and he referred me to Dr. Michael Lang (Neurosurgeon) to perform the surgery. I met with Dr. Lang and part of his team (Julie) to be specific, to discuss my options and they sat with my wife and I and answered absolutely every question and concern that we had. Dr. Lang was called out to emergency surgery prior to my scheduled consultation and came back after surgery and spent about 45 minutes with us. November 22, 2023 was my scheduled surgery to repair/remove the aneurysm. I was at UPMC Mercy at 4:30 am the day before Thanksgiving for brain surgery. I was told from the time I was prepared for surgery to the time I was in ICU and talking with my family after the surgery was about 15 hours. I was in ICU on the 8th floor from 11/22/23 to 11/24/23, Thanksgiving day was 11/23/23 and Dr. Lang actually came in on his personal time to see me and check on my recovery. I have much more that I could type here but I want to make sure that I get this point across. EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE that I had an interaction with at UPMC Mercy from the valet parking people to the PA that removed the staples from my head were very professional, informative, caring and genuine about helping and caring for their patients. I can't say enough good things about each an everyone of these people. I want to Thank you all of you for taking such good care of me and forever being a part of saving my life. Sincerely T. Cox“
