I was not happy w/ my dr/drs there when it came to my dogs senior care. they just kept giving me the same medications and hard to see one dr. Wildwood vet Dr. johnson listen to us carefully and had great solutions and if one thing didn’t work she offered another.
my senior pup I believed lived extra longer because of their care and suggestion of medications. He was not in pain and although I wished he lived little longer, I believe he left when he needed to and after my dog passed wildwood sent me a sweet sympathy card. I appreciate the detail and care. I will be going back to have them care for my 2nd pup. Thank you for great vet care with presto & many more to come! It is not easy to find trusted vet care.“

315 NE Killingsworth St, Portland“Our pup broke her nail really bad, and while Heart and Soul couldn't get us in the day it happened, we were able to schedule an appointment for 9am the next day. The staff was very sweet and kind with our dog. We left her in their care around 9:20, and got the call around 10:45 for her nail removal was successful, and we could pick her up at noon.
While our dog was groggy from the sedation, she is healing nicely. On top of it all the price wasn't too bad. We highly recommend Heart and Soul for any pet emergency!“

The doctors are kind and knowledgeable and explain issues clearly. They do not push meds and procedures, only wanting to do what is best for your pet.“

The doctors and staff explained that she should have a full life undeterred by her heart as long as I change her diet to include grains and not include many legumes (beans, peas, and lentils) as it's suspected they may interfere with the absorption of taurine. Studies have not proven this connection yet, so we cannot be certain, but apparently many other dogs they have seen have had their health improve once switching diets. The office is clean and calm and the doctor was happy to thoroughly answer my questions. Thank you!“

2425 SW Cedar Hills Blvd Suite 1A, Beaverton“The Incredible Dr. Ramsell and her team have given us the best exotic pet service and outcomes that I have experienced. My family is very satisfied with the service here. So far, 2 leopard gecko problems and the first one is back to thriving after a respiratory infection.
The second is a bit of a guarded prognosis yet, but I can see that Dr. Ramsell is very interested in the case and is willing to go the extra mile on this mystery. This is in stark contrast to our experience at a famous ER in Portland last week. With exotics you basically need a specialist or that rare vet who is willing to take on the challenge for the sake of saving a life, and I feel like both of those converge here.“

10400 SE Main St, Milwaukie“Beloved Furball, my 17-year-old heart and soul dog, was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma in October 2024. From that moment, I was determined to give him the best care and quality of life possible, and I truly couldn’t have done it without Dr. Freeman and her incredible team at VCSS clinic.
From our very first visit on November 5th, I was touched by the knowledge, patience, and genuine love that everyone at the clinic showed. Losing Furball has been the hardest experience of my life, but I know in my heart that he received the absolute best care every step of the way.
On February 26th, the most difficult day, Dr. Freeman and her team handled everything with such empathy and professionalism. They made sure Furball’s final moments were peaceful, painless, and filled with love. From the gentle blood check to the thorough explanations, Dr. Freeman helped me make the most informed and compassionate decision. The entire process was handled with so much care—giving us enough time to say our goodbyes, ensuring Furball was completely comfortable, and allowing me to be by his side until the very end.
What touched me the most was how Dr. Freeman was not only a vet but a true friend in that moment—she listened to my story with Furball, teared up with me, and comforted me until the clinic closed. Her entire team was there for every detail, making this incredibly painful time just a little easier to bear.
Beyond that day, I want to highlight the outstanding service and dedication I received throughout the four months I brought Furball here. Dr. Freeman was always so responsive, promptly answering my many emails and concerns with patience and expertise. Her knowledge and compassion gave me the strength to navigate Furball’s final chapter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place for him to receive care. I am forever grateful for the love and dignity they provided to Furball in his final moments and aftercare.
In all, VCSS clinic helped me win precious four months of quality time with Furball , allowing us to cherish every moment together. If you are looking for the best place to treat your pet’s cancer—where expertise, compassion, and love come together—this is the place. Dr. Freeman and her team have unmatched knowledge and genuine care, ensuring that every pet receives not just medical treatment but also the warmth and dignity they deserve. I will forever be grateful for everything they have done for Furball and for me.“

A genuinely friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate woman spoke to what I described and offered an alternative course of action other than bringing my dog in. I am truly grateful for her recommendations.“

I feel so fortunate that she is treating my rescue dog who has some challenging behaviors resulting from her fear and anxiety. Dr. Walker has carefully prescribed appropriate medication prior to our appointments, but more importantly she has far exceeded my expectations in the patient, sensitive, and compassionate way she has treated my dog.“

8250 SW Tonka St, Tualatin“Obviously nobody wants to have to visit an emergency vet, but I will say that the employees here are incredible. We had to bring Pumpkin in multiple times this week for seizures, and Dr. Warren was the main vet that was taking care of Pumpkin. She was incredible at updating us and I never felt like we were taking up too much time or like she was trying to rush us with decisions. Heather was the main front office employee we spoke with (she also was on shift a while back when we had to take Pumpkin in because she swallowed floss). Heather is the perfect mix of straightforward and compassionate that I needed for the high stress situation I was in. I was nearly inconsolable and it felt like Heather knew exactly what to say to help. I am so grateful for everyone I interacted with, and I watched the incredible compassion and care from all employees multiple times while waiting in the waiting room. 5/5 stars, I hope I never have to go back but if I do I know that my animals will have incredible care throughout the whole process. (Photos are from when she got home, and her lil shaved arm from the catheter?)“

“I absolutely love coming to Willowbrook! Karen at the front desk is a complete joy, and we usually make sure Silas's appointments are with Dr Trerise, but you are safe with everyone here! We trust them completely with our fur baby!“
