They even customized the size of each extension to perfectly match my natural hair, preventing any tension or future damage.

But truly, if you’re not getting your hair done by Brenda or her son at Brenda’s Knotty Dreads, what are you even doing with your life? “Darcy did an amazing job with my wedding hair! I was planning my wedding from out of state and she worked with my busy and limited schedule! She was so thorough and thoughtful for the trial! I even planned a separate visit specifically for her to do my haircut before the wedding because I only trusted her to do all the layers and thinning the way we had talked about so it would be best for both everyday and wedding day. I have thick, curly hair that is very frizzy and often hard to manage and sought her out specifically because of her experience with curly hair and she went above and beyond my expectations! “I recently had a haircut and what feels like a hair therapy session with Stephy.

This was hands down one of the most thorough and informative haircuts I’ve ever gotten. I have thin hair that sheds and Stephy spent the first part of my appointment brushing my hair and observing my breakage and asked me such amazing questions. This led to me purchasing a satin pillowcase, only drying my hair with a microfiber hair wrap. I also received excellent guidance on how to combat oily hair and my light curls are the healthiest they have ever been since I switched my hair washing routine with Stephy’s guidance and expertise.

She also gave me a dry haircut which was the first time I’ve ever had this done. It resulted in my hair being the exact length I wanted to keep as I’ve had my hair butchered twice here in Portland. The minimal layers she added have made my hair feel so much lighter.

“Valerium is a very charming and welcoming guy, and creates a great atmosphere in his salon. However, I think working with him requires you to be more assertive and confident than I’m used to being at the salon. I did show the length I wanted at the beginning, but I was a bit too agreeable during the haircut and walked out with significantly shorter hair than I wanted. Can be a great stylist—but not particularly cautious!“
