Valerium is a very charming and welcoming guy, and creates a great atmosphere in his salon. However, I think working with him requires you to be more assertive and confident than I’m used to being at the salon. I did show the length I wanted at the beginning, but I was a bit too agreeable during the haircut and walked out with significantly shorter hair than I wanted. Can be a great stylist—but not particularly cautious!
I've been going to Valerium Salon for years, and Jennifer has been my trusted stylist for cut and color the entire time. She is incredibly talented, consistent, and always takes the time to make sure everything is just right. I’ve never walked out of her chair feeling anything less than completely happy.
Sadly, I’m moving and will have to find a new stylist, which is not easy after so many years with someone this good. Jennifer is truly one of a kind, and I will miss her greatly. If you’re looking for someone exceptional, I can recommend her without hesitation.

Lavi is an exceptionally talented hairdresser. I have been going to her every time I'm in Portland for the past 4 years and the results are ALWAYS spot on both regarding color, highlights, styling and maintaining healthy hair condition. In addition she is a wonderful friendly and really good person and the Salon is very clean and beautifully designed which makes the whole experience an absolute delight. Lavi you rock and I will only ever come to you for my hair!
