We’ve built two homes with Renaissance Homes. One in SE Portland and one in rural West Linn. Both building journeys were very different but share a common outcome – we were happy and proud homeowners of a Renaissance Home.

Our first experience in SE Portland was seamless. We were looking for a family home and could not find any for sale homes in our preferred neighborhood meeting our requirements. We then spoke with Renaissance Homes, and after choosing our lot and plan, they did all the heavy lifting from the purchasing of the lot through handing us the keys! When it came to sell the home over 6 years later, our realtor proudly marketed it as a Renaissance Home to attract a premium market value. We received above asking price!

Our next experience in rural West Linn was more of an adventure but one that Renaissance’s transparency and turnkey service model ultimately turned into another successful quality home build.

After searching for a new home in our preferred school district, we were excited to buy acreage and live in the existing tiny family home while we planned our next dream home. We naturally approached Renaissance Homes again to request a bid to build our next home. After receiving the initial pricing proposal, we had sticker shock. It was not the price to build the foundation to finishes home that surprised us but instead it was the site development costs to develop a quality home with all the required utilities that were higher than expected. Above our initially planned budget, we regretfully hit the pause button on our home building plans.

Determined to build a home for a family with soon to become teenagers, we looked at alternative builders to see if we could get pricing within our initial budget. After reviewing multiple builder proposals, we could not help but compare the experience speak with other builders with our previous Renaissance Homes experience. Between perceived quality, online references and a full turn-key service model, no one was able to measure up to the confidence investing in a Renaissance built home. We will never forget one builder telling us with a straight face, “we build the home foundation to finishes, you source and hire an excavator crew to clear the site and dig the foundations”. We were flabbergasted!

After concluding that Renaissance Homes was by far the best option for us, we returned to Renaissance to fine tune our floorplan options and engaged them to deliver a truly turnkey home build solution. We were A-type personality perfectionists throughout the design and build process but none of this was too much for the Renaissance Homes team. We moved into our new home absolutely thrilled with the result!

“I hired Grassroots to grade my yard, build a retaining wall to level the yard, and redo a rotting fence around my 1/4 acre property. A pretty big project. Brent (owner) was very communicative from the very beginning. I sought several estimates and Grassroots was comparable with other companies. They started on the scheduled start date and completed the work in a timey fashion. They did a fantastic job on the retaining wall. It is perfectly level and looks beautiful. The finished fence and gates look amazing as well. The final product is exactly what I was hoping for. During the project any issue or discrepancy was immediately taken care of by Brent and his team to ensure I was happy prior to moving on. In summary, they did a great job and I’d recommend them to others who need a hardscaping project completed.“
