“I purchased a Frigidaire upright freezer in 2024 and had the door swing reversed by the retailer prior to delivery. In November 2025, my freezer door would no longer remain closed (we used painters tape to seal the door shut). I went to the Electrolux Canada website and saw that I could make a service appointment through them.
Electrolux forwarded my service request to Bayview Home Appliance Centre and I was able to schedule a home visit online within 7 days.
Bayview Home Appliance Center was even able to narrow the service window from 5 hours to 2 hours making it easier to schedule my day around the visit.
The service technician, Adrian actually arrived 15 minutes earlier (He called ahead to warn me). He quickly diagnosed the problem (Incorrect installation - failed to remove a positioning bracket) and fixed it within 30 minutes. He was very careful in handling the food in the freezer (we were unable to empty it) while doing so.
My nearly 90 year old father observed Adrian at work and commented that it was really refreshing to see that such an honest service person can still be found in the repair business. My dad used to service commercial washing machines before he retired.
I very thankful to Adrian for relieving our family of the worry of an improperly working appliance in such a timely manner.”
