“Very grateful for the attentive, responsive and professional service, as well as clear communication, both by the customer service of the Gold Medal Plumbing and the plumber Benjamin Hartan. They deserve more than a gold medal! When Home Depot plumbers twice (!) were not able (!) to install four classic open base Kohler toilets (different models each time) as a replacement for the older ones, I called Gold Medal Plumbing. They patiently listened to my venting and suggested to send an experienced professional plumber (who turned out to be Ben Hartan). Shortly after, we received a text message, notifying that a plumber is en route to our condo. Ben made all the measurements in both washrooms, assessed toilet manufacture specifications against the actual measurements and committed to complete the installation for us. This is a 40 year old building and in the process one of the pipes broke (we had other work done in the condo this year as pipes kept breaking here and there). Ben quickly replaced the broken part (he had parts in his truck), completed installation (and Kohler toilets are more difficult to install than other brands), removed the old toilets and cleaned up the post-installation mess, all in a very positive professional and courteous manner. We were relieved that it finally got done and impressed with the work and service received. Going forward, we will only use Gold Medal Plumbing for all our plumbing and drain needs and will recommend them to all our friends and family. Thank you again, Gold Medal Plumbing and Ben Hartan! The hole required to run the pipe had to be dug in my front garden, but the team carefully spared my mature Japanese peony and replaced the stonework so well that, once everything was finished, the digging was barely noticeable.

I rarely leave reviews, but this team deserves the highest praise. Several friends and neighbours have had similar work done, and I’ve seen contractors leave yards in a terrible mess. That was absolutely not the case here.

Not only was the workmanship excellent and attentive, but their responsiveness was impressive as well.
