Doors and More, so many good things to say about them I don't even know where to start.
We had a reno 12 years ago, and my friend and GC said I know this new company that is doing really cool frameless doors. And I was like I'm in.
So they come in, put in this amazing system (pictures below) and it survives 3 boys - who've destroyed microwaves, Miele vacuums, walls, everything good our house, except this door. I mean they pulled the Kohler water trim off the wall 3 times, how? How?
But the door my kids could not defeat. I shouted at them ONCE to not to slam it, but they still did but this think it built to withstand teenage boys.
I called because the immovable glass portions bottom was starting to wear out a little, again, NOT moving water through the stand sill (which is angled on the other side down back into the shower anyways) it was just not looking as perfect as it once did.
So I call them up, Tara is like for $850 we'll replace ALL the hardware (including handles and towel rack??? amazing), reseal all the joints, and they even added an upgraded U shaped wall connection when you close the door that makes it shut perfectly. Technology moves up and on.
Look you can spend less money if your don't have the capital, all good, but we all know you always get what you pay for.
And this product is one of the best things I've bought in my home reno career., This and the KWC faucets that stands behind a Lifetime guarantee.
Every part of the assembly is like built to respect you and your money and serve you for ages. I could have just siliconed the bottom of the non moving glass myself , just to be super careful, but after spending some money replace ALL the hardware I just got a brand shower system lol.
BTW, There glass is so thick don't even ask me to tell you how thick it is....take Home Depot's best door and times that by 3-4.
Look at the rollers on this door, they are massive and strong. Look at the fixture that goes across the wall and ties into it. It's all high end stainless steel and high tech rubber silicon products (I think).
Super high end product but not the price. Seriously Check Rona and Home Depot for their best frameless system and compare the specs with any of their systems.
Those places sell crap at high margins to wanna be DYI'ers who watch to much Youtube. IMHO!
I was also told we were one of the few clients that had the companies original logo on the door, and they're on their 3rd (as most good companies go through mergers and acquisition), so that was neat. And it was cool how I found out!
Tara had a crew out to my place in two days, and the best part, like coincidentally, and as company that stands with it's employees, one of the guys that came the first install as a Jr is now a senior installer, and we were one of his first jobs. And he was back now!
Great product, great people, what more can you ask for?
