“The team at Smith Heating and Cooling worked smarter and harder at our home than many of the HVAC contractors we have hired for big jobs in the past. They installed a new A/C unit, and cleaned and sanitized our ducts. All in all, their work were very clean, efficient and done with exceptional quality.

After purchasing a few units in the past, I was impressed with a few things this things this time around:

A service disconnecter was installed adjacent to the outside AC unit to avoid use of our electrical box for future repairs.

Their line set/copper lines were wrapped tightly instead of being left exposed.

The control box(called a mitigation board) that’s needed to monitor potentially flammable refrigerant was placed in a spot near the furnace that is easily accessible.

The supply plenum was tightly sealed up to allow for minimum air leakage.

They also adjusted the furnace’s blower to match the airflow of the A/C unit to make the house run more efficiently and comfortably. We also now have an A/C unit that is correctly sized for our home.

I learned a lot about the complexities of HVAC going through this experience, and I’m glad to be smarter going forward.“
