We’ve never dealt with such a situation but Vodraska handled all of the details for us seamlessly by working with the out-of/state funeral home. Additionally, Dan took the time out of his busy schedule to meet with my family to plan the wake and funeral virtually, picking out the casket and prayer cards while also getting us in touch with the local church to plan the mass. “Babitt Busch provided an unforgettable and unique experience for our family to pay tribute to my husband Gerald who was an historian and reenactor for many years. The final endeavor he studied and collected for was Viking History and that theme was incorporated in this tribute. The casket spray was a woodland creation rather than the traditional roses or flowers and our visitors were just amazed when they saw it. The coordinator Caitlin made that happen and this was a really great tribute to him and our guests got to remember him in the way they knew him best from woodland Indian reenactor up to the present. A true result of being able to think out of the box and it was overwhelming. A perfect farewell to an amazing husband, dad, and remarkable friend to many.“

We were able to supply them with photo frames and memento’s which they were able to beautifully display on their own which was helpful and was something we didn’t have to do and saved us time to focus on other things to prepare. “Herrick was extremely kind, warm, professional and helpful during such a difficult time. He was very responsive taking all my calls during business hours and responding outside of business hours. His embalming and makeup work were wonderful. My father looked alive! I've never compared costs, however, it seemed reasonable for the services.
The establishment itself could use some updates I believe. One employee (not Mr. or Mrs. Martin) was often on the phone indoors talking somewhat loudly during viewing hours which was ANNOYING! These were my only qualms, and I don't feel it fair to deduct a star for this. . . I would give 4.5 stars if possible.“

“This cemetery is a beautiful place, filled with lovely trees and wildlife that I enjoy seeing each time I visit. People here are hard-working and friendly. Each day I visit I see them working--cutting grass, opening a grave site, chopping up trees that have fallen in recent storms. My husband's grave was covered completely with dirt shortly after the burial, his grave marker was placed a day after it arrived at the cemetery, and his plot has been seeded with grass. I recently ordered a vase container for fresh flowers. The assistant who handled the ordered treated me warmly and even called me the next day when the vase container was set at the grave. I constantly see a white car driving around and monitoring the place, so I always feel safe there, as do others who walk through for exercise or take their pets for a trot. I feel the place is well cared for daily. Many grave markers are covered over with grass; some are quite old, and it appears that family have not been there for years nor done any maintenance around the memorial sites. I recently located my great grandfather's site, and I plan to trim the grass around it and add a fall wreath.“
