West Park Cemetery

UPDATE- I did contact the cemetery and discussed my situation. The out of place stone was moved back to its original spot. For this I am grateful.My Aunt Kay, cousin Gayle and sister-in-law Judy and I visited our family grave sites in Section 11 on Oct. 14, 2021. I hadn't been here since 1986. We were very disappointed in the appearance of this section. Shown in the photo is an example of what we found. Richard Blain's stone was in this same position back in 2016 when photos were taken by a group documenting the stones for Billion graves. Its ran by the city of Cleveland its always nice and quite the grass is cut on a regular bases if your expecting more you might want to go where Michael Jackson is buried the people that work here are really helpful and nice its a cemetery at the end of the day no matter how you loo at it

As a city owned cemetery, it is kept reasonably well. I would rate higher except I have noticed the Veterans section at the very rear part of the cemetery is not kept up as well as the front. The grass is mowed but there appears to be little trimming of the grass. Most headstones are covered with grass and weeds. I myself have gone with a weed trimmer once every summer and cleaned many Veterans headstones so that their name can be read. I do as much as I can but it is just a small dent in what is needed to maintain the Veterans section in the rear. It is not much to ask for considering these individuals fought for our country.
