“Dr. Smith is a fantastic Doctor. Not only is she compassionate but she is extremely knowledgable. She has help us and our dog through some very scary situations. He will be 16 in April and has some issues that have been life threatening over the years - I am confident that he has lived such long life because of the care from Dr. Smith. In addition to caring for our Dog so well - she is calm and caring to us when situations get a bit scary. We are so appreciative of her and her staff.“

“This should be pet owners one and only choice where to take their Fur kids for surgery. Dr. Owen & Staff are excellent, kind, compassionate and my pup has done so well after TPLO surgery. I so regret not taking my other Fur kid there for the same surgery, she went to the vet Business in Akron & suffered horribly after the surgery for 4 months and unfortunately then passed from Cancer. “February 1st 2024 was the day we lost our family kitty Missy. She was suffering so we took her to Akron Barberton vet to be put to sleep peacefully. I cannot say anything bad about this place. The doctor even spoke so softly and loving to my Missy, which in return made me cry harder, but that was going to happen period. I am just truly thankful that I could come up with the money for both euthanasia and so we could get her ashes back. When something like this happens unexpectedly, it makes it difficult because it's a little pricey, but I wanted my babies ashes home with us. The overall experience was absolutely comforting.The doctor and assistant came in and started preparing our girl gently and respectfully. I did not wish to see any of this but I wasn't leaving our girl. We watched each other till the very end when the light left her eyes and she just laid there. Looking back, it was truly surreal. It happened in the blink of an eye and I know she went peacefully. As much as I wanted her to pass with us at home, I just couldn't watch her suffer any longer.Missy, wait for us on that rainbow ? bridge. We will be there one day with you. Your with grandma now and she's gonna love you till we can again. ? ❤️ ?I'm not crazy about vets, but if ever I need one for my other babies, Akron Barberton Veterinary clinic has a couple loyal clients now. “Love Brown-Harold! She actually helped us when Green vet on Massillon Rd advised us that our dog was really sick. After a long discussion with them it was advised to possibly think about putting him down. After getting a second opinion with Brown-Harold we found out it was just a virus. She gave him some meds and he was fine. I will always recommend her!! We won't go anywhere else!“

We even moved 40+ minutes away, tried another vet ONCE, and came back. The entire staff is really quite remarkable. “I've been taking my anxious dog to them for roughly 12 years. They staff is, for the most part, super friendly and quick to service you whether it's on the phone or in person. Their prices are very reasonable as well. I just have two complaints. 1) the website and the answering machine have different versions of what their open hours are and they don't respond to emails/messages on their site or to voicemails that are left 2) while the vets are always nice and clearly care about your pet, the turnover rate is crazy and you're never informed about any changes. You show up and suddenly have a new vet.“
