“Never in my lifetime would I have thought that a funeral home would be a “good experience” because of the emotions attached to the experience but, I have to say this was by far one of the best experiences in dealing with a business. It started with Matt when we were planning ahead of time for my family’s terminal illness. Matt was so welcoming and compassionate regarding our situation and handled it with grace and ease. Unfortunately, my uncle passed shortly after and we had to meet with Matt again (no appointment) but he treated us with kindness and respect, finalizing the process.

As for the wake and the actual service Andy, Dennis, Wes, Randy (I think that was his name-our driver) were so attentive to details and ensuring our comfort throughout the process. When you are handling grief it’s so important to have a positive team to support you so it’s one less burden to carry.

From sitting with Karen through the arrangement process, Donna who stayed late until we cleared the room of my mother’s flowers and pictures. They welcomed every visitor with a smile. They checked in with us at every step to see if we needed anything. My mother’s hair and make up looked like a carbon copy of the picture I provided so she presented beautiful, recognizable and peaceful. I couldn’t be more grateful for the compassionate staff at Chapey’s and the incredible services they provided for us.“

I called several places in advance but of all the funeral directors who called me back , Eric was the nicest and most helpful of them all. He was thorough in the information he provided me and sympathetic whenever we spoke of my mother, her life, and her unfortunate passing.
