By chance, I called Napora in the Spring to have our central air unit checked. Little did I know that I would need them several more times this year. We experienced flooding in our basement three times over the Summer due to torrential rains and water backing up into our home. Yuri and his team showed up first to check our drains and verify the water backing up was not at the fault of our basement drains. When the flooding took out our hot water heater, they showed up again to attempt to fix it, and then they subsequently came back to replace it when it was determined the "fix" was only temporary. Every time they showed up they were polite, understanding, and graciously answered all of my questions. Their rates were also competitive. “Our project was a big one. We were planning to finish about 1,300 square feet of our basement, adding a full bath, wet bar, gym area, and opening up a large wall on our main floor that would allow for a smoother flow and access to the new basement/lower level.We did our due-diligence in vetting several reputable contractors and construction companies. After a few meetings with Nick, we opted to use DeRisio Construction for our project. It was easy to tell that Nick knew all that would be involved in completing our project. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to building structures, framing, wood-working, and he was honest with us if we had a request that was just physically not possible.Our vision was a beautiful 2nd floor of living space. Nick and his team gave us just that.Before the job even started, Nick had a detailed plan and schedule for the project. Each day and week of progress was listed out. It was nice to see it so well-organized, and understand what would be completed by the end of each week. Also listed was a budget for certain parts of the project (bathroom, flooring, bar area, etc)—which helped us to keep costs in-line, and there were no surprises when it came to payment.Nick was on-site each morning to say hello and give us any updates on what would be happening that day, alert us of any issues or potential changes to the plan—overall, there were ZERO major changes from the original project plan—that is pretty amazing to say with such a large renovation!DeRisio had a consistent team of 3-4 craftsmen that would be on-site, working hard, cleaning up daily, and keeping any and all dust from entering our main floor area The guys were all extremely friendly and polite—they became a part of the family a few months! Our dog misses them now that the project is done!The quality of work that was done was top-notch. None of the framing, insulation, drywall, electrical, or plumbing was completed taking any short-cuts. “We had a plumbing issue over the weekend. Called our usual plumbing company who told us it was due to our septic system. I admit I have neglected having it pumped so I thought it was a good possibility. Called Chamberlain this morning and Josh showed up earlier than estimated. Not only did he service our septic tank but took a look at the plumbing indoors. He gave me a recommendation for a different plumbing company. He also took the time to speak to them explaining the situation better than I could have. I have hope that our situation will be resolved tomorrow! Josh was beyond polite and informative.
