I'll be honest... for my first pair of progressives I first went to Empire Visionworks and it was a subpar and negative experience through every level of the process - my advice... never go to a mediocre vision shop for progressives.

I did tons of research about the quality of lenses through to the quality of frames. Also I didn't trust my prescription from Empire Visionworks because they rushed through the process and nobody seemed to care... beyond that, the doctor was rude and impatient. And sure enough - my prescription was noticeably different from Eye Q... Care matters!

I'm happy to say my search, research and quest led me to Eye Q. I knew that I needed a curated and high quality experience across the board with people who care and take my vision to be as important as I do. The experience was exactly that and top notch on every level. It's important to note that the frames available at Eye Q are on another level than most shops as well and this also makes a massive difference. The optician basically chose all my favorite frames in the shop to try before I even told her what my style was. And she makes sure they are good for housing progressives...

I went to Eye Q in the end partly because my sister uses them in Manhattan. She also had a great experience. This is what eye care should be and is... a highly sensitive and curated experience catered to personal needs with patience and support through every step of the process. And on top of it all they take my insurance.

And Rex has an incredible eye for just the perfect frames. And he’s just a lovely person. They have a great selection of glasses and do nice job with fitting you. They have really good front desk service too. They were just extremely helpful with uploading eye exam results to the DMV.“

“I came to this store thanks to my doctor’s recommendation, and from the moment I walked in, I was happy I trusted her advice. I was welcomed with warmth, kindness, and such positive energy. They immediately made me feel comfortable, and I was taken care of very well throughout the entire process.

Even though my insurance already covered almost everything I needed, I still chose to fully trust their recommendations, and I’m truly glad I did. They explained honestly and clearly what I could expect from my glasses, and they were absolutely right. I finally have glasses that allow me to see and study comfortably without straining or hurting my eyes. They paid great attention to every detail, especially during the measurements, to make sure my glasses were perfect for me.

My glasses arrived earlier than expected, which was already a wonderful surprise. Then, on the very first day, I noticed a small scratch on one of the lenses. Honestly, it could have happened because of me just as much as it could have already been there, since I had only had the glasses for less than an hour. What impressed me the most, though, was their
attitude: they asked me to come back the next day, checked the glasses, noticed the scratch, and immediately ordered a replacement lens. It was probably a bit of an unusual situation because, after such a short amount of time, it would have been difficult to determine who was responsible. Still, they replaced it without questioning me or making things complicated. Three days later, I came back and they replaced the lens for me.

What truly makes this place special, in my opinion, is not only their professionalism, but also the warmth, kindness, and genuine care you feel from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. Not only the owners, who were wonderful, but also every employee I interacted with.

I’m writing this review wholeheartedly because when people work with passion, care, and honesty, I believe they deserve to be recognized and appreciated.
