“I originally came from Long Island but now live in Brooklyn. My 3-year-old son recently needed a stronger prescription for his glasses, and I was becoming so frustrated trying to find an optical shop that could properly fit him. Every pair we tried would constantly slide down his face, and he was looking over the top of his glasses instead of through them.
I decided to make the trip back to Roslyn Eye Centre, and I am so glad I did. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was outstanding.
Kevin took the time to carefully fit my son and gave me honest feedback about his current glasses. We both agreed they simply didn’t fit him correctly. He was patient, thorough, and made sure my son was measured properly so his new glasses would fit the way they should. I never felt rushed, and every question I had was answered. They truly made me feel like a person, not just another customer.
To make the experience even better, they offered to ship my son’s new glasses to our home so I wouldn’t have to make another drive from Brooklyn to Long Island. That level of customer service meant so much to me.

“Bayside Family Eyecare is honestly the best place to go and get yourself some glasses. I have never had glasses nor did I know how to go about and shop/look for a pair. I was greeted by Caryn and she was so helpful. She helped me out with everything from selecting the best pair of frames and making any changes along the way. She was so helpful and made the process so amazing and at ease for me. I got my glasses today and she even helped with last min changes and adjustments to make sure I left happy with my glasses. “I’ve been wearing glasses for the last 37 years, mostly progressives. I’ve been to a variety of places in my lifetime but none have been as professional as Village. Greg and crew are very adept and Dr. Krassnoff has the most modern equipment for eye examination. At my age of 70+ years, my most recent AI Varrilux glasses have my vision like when I was a teenager. They don’t upsell in my opinion, they do recommend that which improves vision. Many people I know tend to be frugal about what they spend on glasses but the “extras” are what really make your vision optimal. I appreciate Village Optical and will continue to recommend them to my family and friends.“

“We called to make an appointment and was given one for 1 pm the upcoming Saturday at 1 pm. We were called by the office that a 930 spot had opened up—?? I tool it!
Arrived at 9:20 and unfortunately we DID NOT fill out the form that WAS sent- our fault.. The staff Monique was very helpful in accommodating us . The insurance was verified
We filled the forms , but within 10 minutes we were seen!!!
I enquired if i can be seen as well and monique said she will check also
This practice is a great option for a professional / clean / efficient experience.
The staff is friendly, helpful, and courteous . This is a practice that i would recommend.
Dr. Napolitano took her time with my son — sensitive- AND my wife had a hair stuck in her eye- embedded deep — she REMOVED it gently and quickly - we paid a copay— well worth it!!!

I was not even a patient yet and she went above and beyond her call of duty to assist me with my eligibility, insofar as to work from home! Dr. Derco himself is pleasant, friendly, and enjoys his work by going into detail as to the reasons for certain circumstances without hesitation; he listens very well.
