I called and a friendly voice greeted me and made an appointment without hassle. I went in for brow wax and tint, lash extensions and Brazilian wax. Luminuxe is easily found in the Uncle Giuseppe and PJ cinema mall in Pt. Jefferson Station. The building her business is in, My Salon Suite, houses professional hair stylists, makeup artists, face and body treatments, as well as tattoo artists. You can be a walk in, and merely scan the barcode for the kind of service you want. They will answer and pair you with somebody available. Luminuxe has earned a large following, so a reservation is recommended. You are greeted warmly by Krystal, a very upbeat, calm and sweet professional. The options and explanations are detailed for you. The ambiance is spa-like, with soothing Feng shui decorating and relaxing music playing. She even has an array of healthy snacks and drinks if you're coming from work or the gym. Respecting your privacy, she pulls the curtain closed if indicated or requested. Her tools are sterilized between clients. The bed has a heated Tempurpedic mattress onto which you can drift off into a magical sleep while she works. You could stay awake and chat if you want, as Krystal is easy to talk to. Her primary goal is to make you as beautiful as possible without pain. I think it's best to be quiet and let her work her beauty magic. When I had my brows waxed in other establishments which stunk of toxic nail chemicals, they just pour wax, then rip out quickly, causing pain. Krystal carefully maps out the features of your face, measuring the most flattering spacing and shape for your brows. She asks for your input as to what kind and size brows you want. She skillfully applies the wax, then gently pulls the hair out and shows you the amount pulled out, helping to gauge how often you should come back. My brows came out fabulous, so I get compliments from other women who recognize that the brows shape the entire face. The tinting lasts about 3 weeks, but after that a simple pencil can fill in the brow. The Brazilian wax is done so carefully that for the first time I felt no pain! She has 2 products to apply to your waxed parts down there to keep it from getting bumps, pimples and ingrown hairs. For the first time, down there did not itch at all between waxings. The highlight of my session at this immaculate and inviting spa was having blue lashes applied because I'm a huge Knicks fan! We went through several samples of lashes to get the best length and color for me. While she applied them, the music and heated bed lulled me to sleep. I woke up with incredible, sexy blue lashes. 💙

I went in person to make an appointment for pain in my foot. I did not expect to be seen on the same day. They not only saw me but my boyfriend who is a diabetic so he saw the doctor as well. I got x-rays and a Cortizone shot. And my boyfriend was taken care of as well. I can’t say enough about the pleasantness of every staff member I encountered I’m so happy that I found a great podiatrist office to go to.

I recently had Bass Electric install a floor outlet in my living room, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. This wasn't a straightforward job—the electric panel is located in the basement on the wall opposite the installation site, and my basement has a finished sheetrock ceiling.
The electricians, Aidan and Will, were absolute pros. They managed to precisely locate the exact spot on the basement ceiling needed to reach the floor above. Their precision was incredible; the outlet ended up in the exact spot I wanted.
What really impressed me was their attention to detail. They had to remove a small piece of the basement sheetrock to connect the wiring, but they neatly reattached it afterward. You would never even know they were there!

My siblings and I hired Tom, owner of Allied Construction, to help us surprise our mom with a full kitchen renovation in her 1950s Nassau County home. Before choosing Allied, we gathered quotes from three vendors, and Tom immediately stood out for his professionalism and his willingness to think through the project with us.
Tom created a full kitchen design and 3D renderings based on our ideas and his expertise, free of charge. He took detailed measurements, made thoughtful edits when we had notes or concerns, and provided a clear, itemized breakdown of costs at the start and throughout the project.
He and his crew delivered the entire demo and reconstruction within our two‑week timeframe. Payments were accepted via check or ACH wire so materials could be ordered immediately, and Tom was transparent about this process from the beginning.
Communication was great. Tom was responsive to every question, and after we revealed the finished kitchen to our mom, he returned to complete finishing touches—installing a new exterior kitchen door window, adjusting the refrigerator door swing, and ensuring everything looked perfect.

We had Harbor Hills build our dream home for our expanding family in Miller Place and we couldn't be happier with the level of skill, professionalism, and communication they provided. From the time we first sat down with them to discuss ideas and throughout the entire project, Manny and Chrissy were amazing. Manny has years of experience and his attention to detail and his integrity in making sure things were done correctly were top tier. Chrissy was superb, she was very organized, got things addressed quickly, and really knew her stuff when we had questions or concerns. They listened to us and were kind to us, always yielding to our decisions but not being afraid to tell us when they thought something wouldn’t work or if they thought there was a better way to do something. Their price was very reasonable compared to 5 or 6 other local contractors we spoke with. They have been in business a long time and it really shows. Their subcontractors did great work and Manny was there every day to make sure the job was progressing and that the work was being done right. I called as a new patient appointment and needed to be seen the same day. My puppy was in the ER Vet over the weekend and still wasn’t doing good. I don’t know the receptionist name but she was so kind and compassionate on the phone and got me in within the hour. The Dr and nurse Stephanie were soooo amazing and Dr went and listened to me tell him what was going on. He immediately had a game plan and she was medicated and I was sent home with medication as well. We are now making this our new vet. Each and every person we came in contact with was just wonderful. They understood the situation and we were treated with such compassion and kindness. I highly recommend them.

Port Jeff Therapeutic Massage is absolutely amazing. They take my Aetna insurance, which makes everything so convenient, and the entire staff is always friendly and accommodating. I usually see Shawn, who is incredible, but every therapist I’ve worked with has been exceptional. Jen, the owner, is so welcoming and extremely knowledgeable, which really sets the tone for the whole practice. I always leave feeling better and well taken care of.
