“Several months ago, my 12 year old Lab had severe discoloration around her right eye along with significant discomfort. Prior visits to another veterinary clinic had not been able to address the problem, but Dr. Datner was able to identify and treat the problem within one visit. He is very thorough, thoughtful and systematic in his approach to treating his patients. If I had waited for a veterinarian ophthalmologist, I am not sure my dog would have healed. I highly recommend Dr. Datner.“

“My cat Luka started having serious problems and I took him to West Hempstead Animal Hospital where his care has always been top notch. The staff are helpful, friendly knowledgeable and caring. Even though he did not like being there at all, I always felt that he was in the best care.He started deteriorating quickly. Every time I called about something serious that was happening with Luka, I was given an appointment immediately.The doctors and technicians took time to examine him and explain every detail of what they were doing. I felt confident that he would be alright.Unfortunately after a rough week of tests and bloodwork we found out that he had inoperable cancer and there was nothing the doctors could do to prolong his life and/or make him comfortable. I was able to bring him home for one more day so our family could spend time with him.We brought him back the next evening when the hospital was empty where we were all treated with such compassion and dignity, especially our beloved Luka. He closed his beautiful eyes one last time with his family around him and I know he felt our love. As hard as it was for all of us I feel that Dr. Cutler and the staff made it a little easier to say goodbye.Thanks to all of you who helped Luka, and us, on this difficult and heartfelt journey.This was a previous review before Luka became very ill.:Wonderful care for my pet! It was evident that everyone cared about my cat, Luka. He was treated so well, and everyone was very understanding. The doctors took their time explaining in detail what was going on with him as well as giving me feeding instructions and advice about what new changes I should make at home. The office is clean and the staff are welcoming and friendly.We took our dog here for the first time after our prior vet was dismissive of our concerns. When we told Dr. Olcha what was happening with our dog, he suggested blood work (which we did) and told us he’d give us a call on Monday with the results. He ended up contacting us the next morning saying that our dog’s blood work results were life-threatening and that we should take her to the emergency vet asap.We are extremely grateful for this vet center having same-day availability, and for Dr. Olcha’s accurate course of action, overall knowledge, and prompt communication. “Brought my maltipoo here for an emergency visit. They were kind, caring and accommodating throughout the process. The receptionist on the phone was kind, took the necessary information and was able to provide a sme day appointment. Once I got there the facility was clean, the front desk was efficient, and all of the staff were great. My pup and I had a great experience and would come back for a regular visit as well as an emergency (if needed although I hope not lol)“

“Dr Mario Vezza and his team are great. Our first experience was when our Mini Goldendoodle ate something poisonous in the evening a few weeks back and the doctor walked us through what to do over the phone in advance of bringing her in the next day. It was the best experience at a very difficult moment. This past week we brought our cat in to have what we thought was a cyst removed. It turned out to be a tumor. I asked a lot of questions which he answered and was transparent when I inquired about the cost and effort that would be put in. He also removed teeth that had become infected and brought to our attention a thyroid issue that she has. She is now doing better and on thyroid medicine. I am so happy that we brought her there.“

Following a sick visit, they always reach out to check on my dog and see how she's doing. Plus, they offer advice for at-home care in lieu of a visit whenever possible. They are kind, clear, responsive, and so helpful. My dog loves to hang out with them, whether not feeling well, getting vaccinated, or getting a checkup. In fact, my husband is even a little jealous of how excited our dog gets when it's time to visit, as she pulls and wags her tail to get inside.“

“This doctor is one of the most knowledgeable ones I’ve ever seen. I take my pup here, they don’t over prescribe medication and are usually spot on with diagnosis. I recommended this place to my friend and the doctor gave the diagnosis of a torn ccl with a simple test on the spot. The other places he visited charged him hundreds in lab tests and fees.
