Matt Wachtel the owner and hands down the best trainer in the area created all of this. He’s knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely invested in his clients and the results all speak for themselves. Matt has truly built something special and unique here, and it shows in every detail of this place. To top it off it is spotless and always clean with friendly staff! He took the time to genuinely listen to my fitness goals and needs, and was incredibly understanding about my financial situation. There was absolutely no pressure to sign up, which I really appreciated. It's clear he cares about helping people, not just making a sale. With over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry, Teddy and his wife recently opened Overdrive Fitness about 2 years ago, and it shows! The gym itself is well-equipped and the group session prices seem very reasonable. It's also great that he and his wife are the trainers, so you know you're getting personalized attention. Plus, their friendly black lab rescue is a bonus! While I wasn't able to join at this time, I definitely plan to in the future. Highly recommend checking out Overdrive Fitness!“

After several attempts to commit to getting back in shape, I finally walked into Live Fit in Old Tappan and John’s first words were simply, “Finally.” It felt like he had been waiting for me all along.
Starting again at 60+, out of shape, overweight, and dealing with everyday aches and pains wasn’t easy. But for the first time, I’m making time for myself and I’m so glad I did.
The vibe here is incredible a true old-school guys’ gym feel with great energy. Everyone is welcoming and supportive. John, Tony, and Lucas are fantastic, and we can’t forget Daisy, who adds her own charm to the place.
My early morning sessions are intense, full-body workouts that push me in the best way. I told John my goal was simple, I just want one ab muscle! Knowing him, I might end up with a full six-pack. He truly understands the body, incorporates great stretches, and somehow makes me walk out feeling years younger. A miracle worker.
Beyond the workout, it’s also an hour of great conversation, music, laughter, “name that tune,” and John’s legendary storytelling. Honestly, I hate when the session ends… but life goes on until the next one.
If you’re thinking about starting no matter your age or shape, just walk in. You won’t regret it.“
