The sifus are amazing the are very knowledgeable about every art in nubreed and always looking to help their students. The teachers are awesome always alot of energy to give a great class. 6529 John F. Kennedy Blvd Floor 1, North Bergen“Incredible! Everyone here, from the instructors, to the owners are humble and want to help you out. I knew I wanted to be active but was not wanting to go to a traditional gym. Glad I stopped by and signed up. My favorite part is there are other people here in the same boat as me, looking to make a change and be around like minded individuals. There’s no pressure and you are never forced into contact or anything that makes you uncomfortable. It’s nice when your “no face hits” boundary is respected. 5 stars!“

175-25 139th Rd, Queens“My wife and I have been clients for over 3 years now. What we love about Jeff, our trainer at Maceus Studios, is his kind, courteous, and patient personality. You meet first Jeff, the kind and decent human being before you meet Jeff, the sculpted trainer. He motivates you with a courteous firmness to strive towards your fitness goal. He keeps himself informed in health and fitness so he can impart the most tailored advice specific for you. Moreover, his fees are very reasonable. He offers two for one packages for couples and training buddies. This not only helps offset the cost, but it provides motivation for you to be more consistent when you have a training partner to go to the gym with you.
The other trainers at the gym reflect Jeff's courtesy and decency even if they have their own personality and training style. But in sum, we have no regrets about joining Maceus Studios. Thanks to Jeff and Maceus Studios, we have become more consistently health and fitness conscious.“

7 - 10PM
8012 13th Ave, Brooklyn“The Bay Ridge Dojo is hands down one of the most exceptional martial training centers out there. I first stepped through its doors in 1985, and though life has taken me away from time to time, I’ve always found myself coming back. There’s a reason this dojo has stood the test of time while so many others have fallen by the wayside. The family-like atmosphere combined with a no-nonsense approach to self-defense creates an environment that’s both welcoming and serious about personal growth.
What sets BRD apart is its balance between staying true to its core principles while continually evolving to meet the demands of modern self-defense. The training here is grounded in reality, and it’s served me well throughout my career as both a Marine and a Police Officer with the NYPD. This is not a place where you’ll learn flashy, ineffective techniques. At BRD, you’re trained to survive and thrive in any confrontation, whether it’s through de-escalation, tactical maneuvers, or straight-up combat when necessary. The goal is simple: win and go home safe.
The instructors are first-class professionals in their respective fields, and each one brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to their teaching. If you’re looking for a martial arts school that will push you, protect you, and make you feel like part of a family, look no further. The Bay Ridge Dojo has been my second home, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.“
5 - 7PM
23-07 24th Ave, Queens“Strong is a great gym with great teachers. I have been taking the adult kickboxing classes for over a year and I love it! The gym provides a safe, friendly atmosphere and it is amazing what a great workout you get in one hour! Students range from 16 to 60, men and women.I had worked out in other ways over the years but had never done kickboxing before. It is definitely challenging at first but in 2-3 weeks, you get in the groove for both the conditioning and the kick-boxing parts. And it's way more fun than programs like Orange Theory or just lifting weights.I highly recommend Strong Martial Arts. It really is a great workout option for all skill levels.“
7AM - 9PM
224 W 30th St Rm 903, New York“This place lives up to the hype the level of training here is second to none. I room of killers. So many years knowledge on the mats and it shows. I very particular style of teaching with a step by step approach while constantly being on the cutting edge of the latest and newest techniques. Yes its stuffy its a basement. They redid the bathrooms much improved. The best gym ever, Master Renzo should he happen to be there is the most charismatic man I ever met and his stories and love for jiujitsu make him the legend he is. Highly recommend.“

2018 86th St, Brooklyn“My son has been attending UTDC since April 2024. When first enrolling him I was nervous because he has Autism & ADHD and I wasn’t sure how the instructors would handle him but I must commend each and every one of them. They are absolutely trained and equipped to deal with all children. When I say as a single parent that works 2 jobs I have struggled finding a program or sport that would be accepting of him and I have to say they welcomed my son with open arms. He has faced behavioral issues that have made it very difficult for him at times but since starting taekwondo he has made great strides and this is all due to the instructors! The discipline instilled, compassion and patience from every instructor has ignited a spark in my son that I have never seen before and I am so grateful. Thank You UTDC for being a part of my son’s life! FYI he told me won’t stop until he becomes a black belt??“

417 Newark St., Hoboken“This is a wonderful wrestling school. I have nothing but great things to say about Elmer and the rest of the coaches at Edge. They do a terrific job of running the youth wrestling program. They have a truly long term perspective on making the program as retainable and fun for kids as possible - while still making sure they are learning. If you are thinking about enrolling your kid in a youth wrestling program, this is where you want to be.“

“If you’re searching for quality Maspeth kickboxing or jiu jitsu classes, I highly recommend Maspeth Martial Arts. I checked out a few different schools in the area, but this one stood out right away. I come in every day, and the fitness kickboxing classes have been a game-changer — they’re beginner-friendly, high-energy, and a great way to get fit, stay active, and reduce stress in a fun, supportive environment. The jiu jitsu program is ideal for beginners. It’s non-competitive, taught at a comfortable pace, and led by an instructor who is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and focused on helping everyone feel confident and safe. The atmosphere is ego-free, respectful, and welcoming — perfect for anyone new to martial arts. Whether you're looking for adult classes or kids martial arts classes in Maspeth, this school offers the perfect blend of structure, motivation, and community.“
