“My son attended 82nd Street Academics in the Pre-school and Pre-K program. One thing I can say for sure, they absolutely care about your child in every way possible. My son took time to adjust his first year and in no time he was making friends, loved his teachers and learned beyond what I expected. They are attentive, communicative and they've become part of the family and we're very thankful. We had the pleasure of growing with amazing teacher who I hope to still be around when my youngest is ready to attend pre-school.“

“I am 80 years old and played trumpet till I was 55, stoped playing partly because I got bell’s palsy. After about a year I got over it but did not play over a hour a year. At 78 a friend who I have known over 45 years asked me to play in a large trumpet group. I said yes and started practicing a month before rehearsals started. I could not play well at all. After about a year still bad. I had a tooth problem and went to my dentist. I had an infection in one tooth and a tooth needed work. $7000 later I started to sound much better. My best friend when we were in 6th grade said he was going to be a professional trumpet player and I said I was going to be a band director. We got to do that for fortyy years. He was one of the top players in LA and when I asked him who his best conductor he said Leonard Bernstein. As I was practicing to get better for the trumpet group he would come three weeks for 5 days and he would show what to practice and work on technique. He had stopped playing and when I started he did go back after twenty years. He now goes to G and A above high C and I doing hi c pretty well.
Then I started watching u tube about 2 years ago and a lot of my time was watching different trumpet players talk about playing. Some are really great about how to play better. When I saw you I thought you were really great. I bought your book twice. You were supper with pdf but i wanted the book so it would last. It is a supper book. Builds endurance and range. Then I saw another video about finger exercises. Start on A and down to C# I think. Thought I saved it but when I tried to find the video it was nowhere. But I practice slurs tonguing. These two things are so so good. Thank you so much

Tribeca Music Studio Musical Instruments And Teachers

“Dori Levine is a very warm and welcoming vocal teacher. She helped me become comfortable with some of the most uncomfortable parts of singing, by challenging me to step outside of my comfort zone while maintaining an encouraging presence. She is the kind of teacher who will help you accomplish your unique goals rather than drilling you with technique. I felt at home in her Tribeca, Manhattan studio. She is a real gem of New York City.“

“Our son has been going to PY rock in North Bergen for a year now and we love it. I knew we were in good hands when I heard kids playing modern cool music and we met the teacher - Abraham. Abraham really took his time to teach our son some basics about music and how it’s everywhere. He’s also super patient and kind. My son loves him and we love the school. I hope they implement DJ classes soon as I think that would be a super cool skill and song writting.“

Further Music School (Forest Hills) Musical Instruments And Teachers

“The past 5 years have been a great experience with Further Music School Forest Hills Location. We are so lucky to have Ms. Alice Colby as my daughter’s first violin instructor. She is an amazing violin teacher. My daughter started to study violin with Ms. Alice at age 4. Ms. Alice is super patient, nice and professional. Violin is such a difficult instrument. She made it so much fun and easier for my daughter to learn. My little girl loves her lesson. She even loves practice because she always wants to show Ms. Alice how well she can play in the next class. Ms. Alice helped my daughter to accomplish so many things: my daughter passed audition to get into a youth orchestra program in Long Island at age 6, got silver medal in 2023 Vivo international music competition at age 8, and this year under her instruction, my daughter got accepted by Manhattan School of Music precollege program with merit-based scholarship. We highly recommended Ms. Alice if your kid has any interest in learning violin.“

“My 7 year old just finished his first week of summer camp at WSM. He woke up early every morning and got ready so he could be the first one there as the doors opened every day. This is not typical of my little guy who I typically have to drag out of the house, so it just proves this place is magic. He spoke so highly of his camp counselors/music teachers, Ben and Camille, and can’t wait to come back. Highly, highly recommended.“

Flushing Violin Shop Inc Musical Instruments And Teachers

“This place is the definition of a five star experience. They were so accommodating and understanding. I didn’t want to keep them too late since I came an hour before closing but they set me right up after traveling with my Eastman; recently repaired cello on carry on air travel. (Soft case) My soundpost got knocked out during my travel. He fixed it in 45 minutes. He also caught my painfully lifted bridge and fixed it right up. No issue. My cello is much more comfortable to play on. If you’re a potential customer, Just pay the money up front and get ur instrument fixed right up. Up front . It’s that simple. This is the best place for string instrument repair. They are physicians. Very caring and attention to detail to your INSTRUMENT. If you’re a person who cares about the health of your instrument, and not your bodily urges; this is the place to go. Just have some respect and patience. We all need to eat and rest after a long day. It’s all about mutual care and rest. That’s all it is. You’ll have a fully repaired instrument in a matter of minutes. best repairs. I l love this place. I’ll be going back if I come across any issues; but for now, I am very happy with the service. I highly recommend. (P.s. my Eastman sat in my garage for 10 years with mutiple deep cracks, no strings, no bridge) I got it repaired with a new bridge and soundpost in Oklahoma City at OK strings and they also provided me with great service but they gave me a massive bridge that was hurting my fingers while I was practicing. I’m the type of person who doesn’t like to complain. I was happy with the service ok strings gave me too. They bought my instrument back to life with attention to care and detail. But Flushing violin shop contains a family of experts who are fast diagnosers and they fix issues with ease and grace. It’s 10000% worth it. Come here with respect and you’ll leave happy with a healthy instrument.“

Theater Steps Musical Instruments And Teachers

“So... where do I start? As a first-year student in one of NYC's competitive musical theatre programs and studying in the Mecca of all things professional theatre, I found a voice teacher who was patient with me and helped me grow as an artist. Ms. Lisa has been a key contributor to my success! She taught me how to walk into a room and introduce myself, sustain healthy vocal techniques while using my authentic voice, and reassured me through all my doubts as a senior in high school transitioning to college, reminding me that I deserved to pursue this amazing art form. If there's a place to learn prime vocal technique, it's in NJ at Theater Steps with Ms. Lisa. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND START LEARNING WITH THEATERSTEPS!“

“Carol is an amazing piano teacher! She has been teaching my daughter for the past 7 years. We are very happy with carol’s mentorship. My daughter started as a beginner with carol. Now, she is playing beautifully and progressed much farther than I expected. I am also a piano player and am very impressed with how diligent and hard working carol is. She really cares about her students and makes sure they work to their potential. She has inspired my daughter to work hard and become a very fine pianist. We were very lucky to have met carol. I highly recommend Carol.“
