This place is the definition of a five star experience. They were so accommodating and understanding. I didn’t want to keep them too late since I came an hour before closing but they set me right up after traveling with my Eastman; recently repaired cello on carry on air travel. I’ve read some of the negative comments and honestly couldn’t relate to them. As a violinist, I trust only a very small circle of people with my instrument, and this shop is one of them.
I actually fly back to New York just to see them, which says a lot. I went in again today for work on my violin and, as always, walked away learning something new about my instrument and feeling how much it had improved. They take the time to explain what they’re doing and genuinely care about doing things right rather than overcharging. I’ve been to many other places, and most of them charge significantly more while offering less care and transparency.
The owner, Sophie, is one of the kindest, sweetest, and most loving person I’ve met. She is very professional, very client oriented, and patient. My experience with her and her store has been nothing but positive, and I highly recommend her shop!
