“I had my 1st appointment with Debra Bernstein on Wed., 4.30.25. It was a much nicer experience when compared to my appointment with a larger Optometrist's office. She takes her time, testing both eyes with her equipment. She is on the list of Optometrists that is put out by the NYS DMV, which is great as she can send test results directly there for the next license renewal. She has a large selection of frames for dark glasses as well as reading. It was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a new optometrist.“

“Wow! that was the quickest most efficient eye exam I've ever had. I think I was done within 20 minutes or so, which is a great thing because I had to leave work to make my appointment. The staff was so friendly and sweet as soon as I walked through the door. I know they did some renovations here and it looks amazing, green is the best color in my opinion lol the doctor was so nice and I don't have one complaint!! They give you free contact cases, they placed my order for my contacts and sent me my prescriptions. Love it here.“

I'll be honest... for my first pair of progressives I first went to Empire Visionworks and it was a subpar and negative experience through every level of the process - my advice... never go to a mediocre vision shop for progressives.

I did tons of research about the quality of lenses through to the quality of frames. Also I didn't trust my prescription from Empire Visionworks because they rushed through the process and nobody seemed to care... beyond that, the doctor was rude and impatient. And sure enough - my prescription was noticeably different from Eye Q... Care matters!

I'm happy to say my search, research and quest led me to Eye Q. I knew that I needed a curated and high quality experience across the board with people who care and take my vision to be as important as I do. The experience was exactly that and top notch on every level. It's important to note that the frames available at Eye Q are on another level than most shops as well and this also makes a massive difference. The optician basically chose all my favorite frames in the shop to try before I even told her what my style was. And she makes sure they are good for housing progressives...

I went to Eye Q in the end partly because my sister uses them in Manhattan. She also had a great experience. This is what eye care should be and is... a highly sensitive and curated experience catered to personal needs with patience and support through every step of the process. And on top of it all they take my insurance.
