“I rarely leave reviews, but I had such an incredible experience here that I have to share. After doing a ton of research for a digital wavy curly perm, I was skeptical of all the $700+ hype on TikTok for salons in Manhattan where influencers get comped services. I wanted an authentic Korean salon that locals actually trust. I found this spot via Google and Reddit, and even though it was an hour's commute to Flushing for me, I bit the bullet and booked.

Booking was so easy (just called) and I was lucky enough to get a next-day appointment with the owner (Seung Hee). She is genuinely the nicest lady and made me feel so incredibly warm, welcomed, and taken care of the entire time!

The service included a wash and a cut. I showed her my vision, and she understood exactly what I wanted right away. She explained that I needed layers to achieve that specific look, and you could just tell how experienced she is – she cut my hair so professionally and beautifully. I told her I was nervous because past perms never held in my hair, but she completely reassured me and made sure the curls would last. Honestly, it came out even better than the reference photo I showed her!

It’s a lovely, refreshing mom-and-daughter-owned shop with a great, down-to-earth vibe that is way less stuffy than the typical NYC salon scene. On top of the amazing service, the price was unbeatable. For my very long hair, it was only $300, which is a total steal for this level of quality. I am so happy I tried this place and will absolutely be returning for all my hair care needs!“

“Tania did an amazing job on my eyebrows and really took her time! I have very thin, sparse Asian brows, and she was so careful not to over-thread them.

She also recommended the hydrafacial, and I am so happy she did. My skin was noticeably brighter and glowing afterward! I have a lot of acne scarring and uneven texture, and I could see a difference immediately. My boyfriend also couldn't believe how much my skin had improved after just one facial. I went on vacation the next day and my skin was glowing in all the pictures.

The prices for both eyebrow threading and the facial were very reasonable, especially for the quality of care. Tania is incredibly kind, professional, and she made me feel comfortable throughout the entire visit.

I found out about DV hair studio through a random person (shoutout to Karen) and when I see amazing hair ESP coloring, I always have to ask them where they get it done. Without prior history with David, I told him what I wanted and I felt very entrusted with David and he got the job done! I’ve always had blonde balayages but wanted to go for a more darker balayage look and pretty reasonably priced for what I wanted (typically I pay almost 500-600). David was very friendly and made me feel at ease and made the whole experience very nice. Flushing might be a little out of the way but it’s definitely worth it esp if you want coloring done.
