“Had Able Air come by for a seasonal AC start-up, first of the 2024 year. Just wanted to make sure everything was running properly and smoothly before the oppressive heat of the summer when I have my central AC running a lot. A technician named Nick came by the house within the timeframe window that Able Air had told me. He called about 20-25 minutes in advance to let me know his was on his way, as well.

Let me say that I very rarely write reviews. I had such a great experience with Able Air, and Nick specifically, that I felt compelled to share how professional and personable he was. He talked me through everything he was doing, explaining why he was doing it. He never tried to upsell me on any service at all. He worked efficiently and was super polite, and even though there wasn't much of anything to clean up, the place was left exactly how it was when he arrived. Not a single screw out of place or anything like that. He answered my questions related to the air handler and outside condenser.

I'm so relieved to say that I have found a reliable and TRUSTWORTHY company to use for any maintenance or service calls moving forward for my central AC unit. Able Air will be my go-to for the startup service each year, no questions asked.“

“I highly recommend these guys! Just recently my old boiler and water heater were not working properly. Joe tried his best to fix it but cost wise it wouldn’t have been worth it. I decided to replace it. Rich from Mako gave me a reasonable quote and Joe and George came right away to install a new combo wall unit. The work Joe did with the piping is impeccable (you can see in the picture)and the unit is working beautifully. They worked nice and clean and they finished in the time frame they gave me. You can’t go wrong with them! Thank you guys for your hard work!“

“We’ve been happy customers for over two years and we only wish we had discovered them sooner. The previous company had misdiagnosed an issue that led to numerous costly breakdowns and repairs. We had heard good things about Proactive Home Services so we gave them a try and they were able to fix the problem (this time for good!) at an extremely reasonable rate. Because they were so friendly, professional, and affordable, we signed up for their maintenance program. Twice a year an extremely knowledgeable serviceman (big shout out to Ted!) will come run a diagnostics on our system. Even though we’ve come to know him, Proactive still sends us a picture of him before the appointment. We very much appreciate that level of safety. We haven’t had a single issue with our system in those two years, which is a huge departure of the previous few years. That being said, even though everything runs perfectly, we keep the maintenance checkup service because it’s so reasonably priced and provides a level of security knowing that any future issues will be resolved. We can’t say enough nice things about this company. They are always extremely responsive, setting up appointments is easy, and they are *GASP* always on time. They even confirm when they are near via text. We see them once in the fall, and once in the spring, and never in between because our system just works!“

“My old house water main valve was "frozen" stuck. I got two quotes to fix it.The first company proposed just changing out the valve. They quoted 30% lower than Rudco, BUT they didn't address my 1950s galvanized water main line to house.Rudco's quote covered the full job - doing it right. Steve at Rudco said he would not do it any other way than the right way, as if it was his own house. Steve said there was risk that a valve-only job could fail.So I went with Rudco. They did a great job, and didn't even need to dig up the grass or disturb anything - using a mechanical extruder to replace the line. So, I have a new line from the city service right through to the interior of my house.Rudco impressed me and gave me peace of mind.“
