We had a rear addition with 2nd floor above, custom kitchen, four bathrooms, deck, garage conversion, portico, new floors and new HVAC system installed. Brett, our project manager, kept us informed every step of the way and we appreciate his prompt responses to our questions and concerns. Since this was a large project, it took some time to complete and as issues arises Brett would address immediately and follow up to make sure it is done correctly. We are thrilled with how everything came out especially our kitchen and bathrooms, their attention to details is exceptional and everything exceeds our expectations. “James and the whole team were great to work with. Communication was stellar, which can be hard to come by. The quote for the work was on the medium-high end, but in the end it was justified by the quality of work and level of communication. I did not have to babysit these guys. They were able to adapt to changes as needed without issue on short notice. Everyone was more than willing to discuss any questions I had and James was always available via text when I needed him.“

“Slight misunderstanding about the pricing. I was called by the owner Dominic (not sure if you spell it like that) and he assured me it would be resolved. He was right, my cesspool was serviced again and we fixed the issue. A highlight about this owner, very nice, understanding, and reasonable. I did not ask for a refund or price reduction, only what we agreed to over the phone with the office originally. Most companies would not take the extra step to make sure the customer is happy and/or resolve an issue amicably. I thank Dominic for working with me to fix the issue and everyone walked away happy. 10/10. Give it a try and if there is an issue just call and hopefully they can work it out. “This is a long overdue review---We highly recommend Double Check Builders! Double Check completed an extensive renovation of our detached garage, some work done on our kitchen to replace countertops, and 2 bathroom renovations. Matthew and the team are fair and honest and reliable in all of their dealings. Throughout all of the small and large jobs we had done, things went very smoothly. Issues with our 100 year old house come up during any job, and when they did, Double Check was extremely professional with such great communication. In the past, having work done on the house gave me a feeling of dread and you hear about so many bad experiences--with Double Check it's the total opposite. The company gives a feeling of family and down to earth communication, and gives the kind of service which is very rare nowadays. The end result was exactly as promised, but the process of the jobs is also important and went very smoothly too, when we look back on it, it was a very great experience! Even with anything that came up after the jobs, too, Double Check responded very quickly, to answer questions or address anything that might have come up, which is very rare for contractors! If I could, I would hire Double Check to renovate our entire house!“
