This guy was assigned to me by my home warranty company to fix an issue with the faucet behind my fridge. I explained everything that was going on to him on the phone before he came out. Other than asking me about COVID and whether I had a dog, he said nothing about having extreme physical limitations himself which could preclude him from being able to provide service. When he arrived, he could barely even bend down to examine the faucet. Within a minute or two, he told me that he would not be able to fix it and would not be able to shut it off to stop the leak because the shutoff valve is in the crawl space and he is not able to go into crawl spaces because of an open wound he has on his back! Someone who can't go into crawl spaces, can barely bend down, and who has an open surgery wound, is in no condition to be doing physically demanding work like plumbing! While I do feel sorry for him as he was visibly having a hard time physically and I know from experience that back pain is no joke, I think it's a bit deceptive for him to take plumbing calls when he has such severe physical restrictions. A plumber who can't go into a crawl space is kind of like a veterinarian who's allergic to dogs and cats: useless. After contacting the home warranty company and getting them to send a new plumber (a huge ordeal in and of itself), the new plumber made the repair in a matter of minutes. Oh, and he also did so without going into my crawl space (go figure).

George at Rooter Rite has been to my place several times since we bought about 7 years ago. We have ongoing Plumbing issues that are mostly covered by our home warranty policy and it has meant seeing George several times a year. He is always prompt to get back to me, efficient when here and always brings his good attitude, even when I have to see him more than once to deal with the same problems.
