(Original post October 2021): Dirty Plumber did a great job on our hot water heater recirculating pump and pipes. I called them on Oct 7 and set up an appointment for the following day from 12 – 3 and sent them a picture of the pump. I was able to be home earlier than expected and called them around 11, and Laz and Enrique arrived shortly thereafter. They were very professional, did the work efficiently, and arrived with all the parts they needed to complete the job (in my experience, often service personnel need to make one or more trips to get parts they did not have on their work vehicles). They also made the completed product look as nice as a hot water heater assembly can look – and the job was done to last, not a quick fix.

UPDATE: In August 2025, we had Dirty Plumber come to our newly purchased home to fix and update a few things. This time the tech was Keaton, who arrived on time and was professional and knowledgeable. We walked through the house to explain everything we wanted done, and he took notes, asked questions, and clarified requests to be sure he understood exactly what we wanted. He got to work right away adding a recirculating pump and sediment trap to our hot water heater, removing a water filtration system, and providing advice on a future project.
Before the day of the service, we got a call from Desiree at Dirty Plumber’s office (Desiree is great, by the way!) who let us know that Jack (the OG Dirty Plumber and owner) advised against adding a blanket and pan to the hot water heater, which we had requested. We learned that newer water heaters have built-in insulation, and it’s very cost-prohibitive to replace a pan purely for cosmetic reasons – this advice saved us a lot of money.
