I had about 7-10 quotes and sit downs appointment from other companies and the pricing as well as financing with Salal Credit Union pushed me to finalizing. His knowledge, experience and expertise made me say yes. Quality products and services. They couldn't install an EV charger but I found an Electrician to help me with that. They weren't able to place bird/critter guard but also found someone to install. The only big issue was someone didn't schedule the city inspection when they had to cut the power. So our family didn't have power for the day but Brandon and Star Tootoo as well as their team helped accommodate our family! Awesome that it was taken care of promptly. “I have used the services of The Roof Doctor twice. The first time, the Hawaiian fixed a portion of my roof that rain had leaked from into my house. He took before and after pics to give me an idea on what the damage was and how he solved the problem. Great job done! The second service came after a big windstorm that tore off many shingles off of our roof. “The roof replacement itself was done well. The crew from First Quality Roofing was hard working and the job was completed efficiently. The finished product looks great. I felt confident in the quality of the work and greatly appreciated the detailed estimate and warranty provided.

The administrative side left a lot to be desired. After paying the company in full, I received a pre-lien notice from one of their suppliers, which was unexpected and concerning. I had to follow up multiple times to ensure that vendor was paid and to obtain the appropriate lien release to protect my property.

To their credit, the office eventually resolved the issue and sent the necessary documentation, but only after persistent follow-up on our end. Homeowners should not be left chasing down paperwork when they’ve already fulfilled their end of the contract.

I’d recommend working with them, but would also advise anyone to stay on top of the paperwork and request lien waivers upfront prior to payment in full.“

I have a large single story home built in the 1990s that needed the underlayment replaced. Big job - there was a full crew here for over a week.

They used premium materials - all new wood battens, didn't try to re-use any of the old ones. They used a lifetime warranty synthetic underlayment, which I also appreciated. The bid was in line with my lowest other bid so I didn't pay extra.

They had proof of insurance and worked with me to get the home warranty company to pay its share. The roof seems to work, looks good, they cleaned up after themselves, etc. Overall I was quite happy with the job.

Where they really shined though was where they screwed up! A broom fell off the roof during the job and smashed the rear window of my car. I thought for sure I'd have to fight to have them pay for it.

I was astonished - Mike took care of it immediately without question. Literally the day after it happened he paid for the window to be replaced.

This is a business that is honorable, and I would use them again without question.“

I checked Better Business Bureau website for recommendations. I chose Roof It Right due the its BBB star rating. The owner, James *******, responded personally to my request for a cost quote for a new roof. He gave me a written quote, explained the work to be done plus a repair, presented a product brochure of options to be used (Owens-Corning Oakridge shingles). Accompanied by his roofing mascot work-buddy Beetle (husky whose ancestors climbed ladders to help him), he again personally arrived on site to check progress of material delivery, on-time arrival of his roofing crew, and surveyed work progress throughout the project. Both he and his crew were always courteous, very professional, cleaned up each day, respectful of my property, and the landscape. Mr. ******* made good on everything he said would be done and assured me if something needed correction he would take care of it. An entirely satisfactory experience for me. The roof never looked this good.“
