I have been coming here for a few months now. The salon is very clean, organized, simple but aesthetically pleasing. It’s quiet but not stuffy, and everyone is incredibly friendly. My nails always come out great no matter who does them. Paul owns and runs the place and he is such a kind person. I also noticed he speaks to his employees with kindness and respect, which is important to me when choosing a business to spend my money. Pete and his crew took care of my roof while I was on the other side of the country. We bought a house we knew needed some roof work, and Pete came highly recommended after helping a family member with their roof last year. Pete provided clear, friendly communication throughout the process, starting with scoping out my roof in person and providing a fast, fair quote. Pete and his crew were there the next week, providing pictures and updates throughout the process. Even after the job hit some unforeseen complications, Pete handled it like a pro and never made me concerned. Ten years before my father’s passing, we met with Amanda Gates to establish a funeral trust and plan his services while he was still healthy. Because of her guidance and thoughtful planning, many of the difficult decisions had already been made, which was an incredible gift to our family during a time of profound loss.
When my father passed away, Scanlan’s guided us through every step. After the hospice nurse pronounced him, Angelyna and John came to bring him into their care. They treated our father with such gentleness, dignity, and respect that it immediately gave us comfort.
Amanda then helped us finalize the arrangements for the visitation, funeral, and cemetery services. Everything was handled seamlessly and with great compassion. Jennifer spoke beautifully at both the funeral home and the cemetery. She took the time to learn about my father’s life, ensuring her words truly reflected the wonderful man he was. Michael warmly greeted family and friends during the visitation, and Bob later drove the hearse with kindness and professionalism.
One gesture, in particular, touched us beyond words. Amanda remembered that my father had immigrated from Munich, Germany, that he loved Spaten beer, and that his favorite song was “You Are My Sunshine.” When we arrived for the visitation, there was a small table beside his casket with three engraved beer mugs—one for my brother, my sister, and me—each engraved with the title of his favorite song. Beside them sat bottles of Spaten beer on ice. It was such a thoughtful and personal tribute. My father would have absolutely loved it, and it brought smiles through our tears.
The visitation and funeral were elegant, tasteful, and deeply personal—a beautiful celebration of my father’s remarkable life and his 95 years.
As a final, meaningful connection, we learned that when my father first immigrated to the United States and began working as a home builder, he had actually worked on the Scanlan family’s home many years ago. It felt as though life had come full circle.
We will always be grateful to Amanda and everyone at Scanlan’s Funeral Home for treating our father—and our entire family—with such compassion, professionalism, and heartfelt care. They didn’t simply arrange a funeral; they celebrated a life well lived. I can’t say enough amazing things about Gloria and the staff at Besties For Paws. I don’t know if I left a review already but I’m leaving another one if I did lol my baby boy Brock loves it there and he’s always happy when he comes home and tired, which is a blessing because that means he is getting his exercise and playing with the other dogs. The facility is very clean. They do activities with the dogs and they really do care about the Dogs. I highly recommend anyone that needs a drop off daycare, regular daycare and pet transport to go to Besties For Paws.

This is my go-to dry cleaners! It's a wonderful local business. The owners are so friendly and helpful, and the prices are very good. One time, I actually forgot to pick up my suit the DAY BEFORE a wedding, and the owners wound up staying past their closing time to wait for me to get there so I could still get my suit in time for my event. They'll have my business forever after that!

My husband and I were having a difficult time with our in-ground pool and suspected that it may be the motor. We called Chris for a service and he was so knowledgeable, without seeing it, he knew the exact motor we needed. He offered to come out the very same hour and quoted us a more than fair price for the parts and labor. When he arrived he diagnosed the issue and immediately fixed it. He gave us advice and told us how to fix the issue of corrosion from a leak. He didn’t charge us since it was a minor problem and wouldn’t even let us tip him. I cannot recommend him enough, we will be using his services from here on out!
