Pet boarding/training near Madison

“Rob was incredible. He immediately understood the needs of my 4 year old dog, and was in the first day able to help more than other trainers who we have already tried. It’s been a few weeks since we finished with Rob and my dog is calmer both inside the house and outside on the leash.

Issues we were having before were the following:
1. anyone who walked by outside would be a trigger for my dog and he would lunge and growl- I was always nervous he would bite. But with Rob’s help, my dog’s behavior is manageable and improved (in just a few short weeks).

2. People coming inside my apartment used to be jumped on. This past weekend I had people over and my dog sat / laid down until I allowed him to say hello.

Quite the contrary, at the beginning of the year I found myself in a predicament regarding my dog’s health and the entire team of Pack Mentality since has stepped in to assist us in his journey back to a healthy life. “I have used three different doggy daycare‘s for my golden retriever and One Paw Away is by far the best! Blue loves to run around in their enclosed safe and absolutely fun playground. We have also used the spa services and golden’s are one of them more difficult dogs to groom as not many get the cut right, I was thrilled to see that her spa day was a success! Our dog has also stayed overnight with One Paw Away and the team is always extremely responsive and provides details of her stay. We will definitely continue to use One Paw Away and are so thankful that we found it.“

“Been bringing my pup here since 2023. Our dog is not the most social girl so we were nervous bringing her into a daycare/ boarding setting. One of the things that stood out to me about Barker Lounge is that after their initial assessment/ orientation, they’ll let you know if your dog is a good fit for the group play and they have a cute online platform called BarkBack that will give you updates while your dog is boarded with them. We left for Hawaii for 2 weeks and I can confidently say that the highlight of my trip was the BarkBack updates 🤣✨ Their Instagram page is also well maintained which I am appreciative of. Facilities seem well kept and they have a groomer now so you can take your pup home smelling fresh. 12/10 would recommend to a friend. Prices are comparable to other doggy daycares.“

“Simmone was incredible! After bringing our sweet 2 1/2 month old chocolate lab puppy home, we realized we needed all the help we could get with training! We were able to get in touch with her and started training not even 2 weeks later. The consultation she does before training starts is amazing. She came in and we discussed all the things we were looking for with training and she created an action plan specific to his breed and our lifestyle! Duke adored her and immediately took to all the training. She is incredibly knowledgeable of all breeds and was able to give us wonderful and helpful recommendations for socialization activities, daycare options, and toys! If I could give her more stars, I would! Our Duke loves her so much, he finally conquered going down the stairs just to greet her with kisses! We cannot recommend her enough and can’t wait to have her back for advanced training sessions!“

“OPA is absolutely amazing! Joyce has a tremendous love for animals and all pets in her care. She has taken care of my dog Bear. Whether it’s walking him, day care or pet sitting while I’m away, I always rest easy because I know he’s with Joyce at OPA. Bear is overjoyed to hang out with Joyce. At times I think he likes it better at OPA than his own home! ;) I can’t say enough positive things about Joyce and OPA!“

“Great experience every time Dr Jablecki is excellent we have a very complicated dog and she’s able to diagnose everytime. They’re the best from front desk to vets !

This was my review from a long time ago, service has gone downhill since Dr Jablecki left and all the front desk people and tech people left we used to know them all and were great. The new hires have no clue and are happy to pass you on to other vet hospitals, being a long time client meant nothing. Also the last time we took our friendly for nail clipping he was bleeding we didn’t realize until we got him in the car. Hope things change soon. Last call with the receptionist was good.“
