They showed me photos of the old cover and it was in ruins. I also saw how they did the new one and by their work I could tell they were really knowledgeable on how to work on roofing. I asked about other parts of the roof, where they could have charged me more, but instead gave me some free advice and inspected the roof and patched some nail pops at no extra charge. “Out of the blue, a portion of our living room ceiling collapsed. Nobody was hurt. It was original to the 84 year old house, and the nails holding it to the joists just failed. Bob Hume came over soon after I called and we determined that several rooms, ultimately 5 (living room, dining room, 3 bedrooms) plus the ceiling above a stairway, needed to be replaced. He had a crew in the next day to demo the living room ceiling. This was a profoundly disruptive event, but Bob was very concerned that I was satisfied and kept in touch. Roofing has been the best I have ever had, to date, with a member of the trades.
