His attention to detail ensures I can’t slack off during my workout which is what I need. He keeps me accountable, even when I’m traveling, he makes sure I’m getting my workout in. Timmy is phenomenal as well, I just don’t get as much time with him as our schedules conflict. Tamir is the go-to for nutrition, his strict, direct guidance has helped me lose those stubborn lbs, when nothing else worked. Overall UTG is the best. I’m thankful for the people, the program and the community it fosters. I would recommend to anyone.“

“I’ve been attending the step and pilates classes for 2 months now and I love it! I’ve been working out at home consistently since April, but these classes add a great variety to those workouts. I’ve definitely noticed improvements in my stamina and strength since starting these classes. Roxy is an amazing trainer with the perfect energy to keep you going when all you wanna do is drop to the ground and vegetate. The classes are affordable and I’ve purchased the monthly pass twice now. The workouts themselves are difficult but Roxy encourages us to go at our own pace and always demonstrates modifications for all the exercises we do. After several attempts to commit to getting back in shape, I finally walked into Live Fit in Old Tappan and John’s first words were simply, “Finally.” It felt like he had been waiting for me all along.
Starting again at 60+, out of shape, overweight, and dealing with everyday aches and pains wasn’t easy. But for the first time, I’m making time for myself and I’m so glad I did.
The vibe here is incredible a true old-school guys’ gym feel with great energy. Everyone is welcoming and supportive. John, Tony, and Lucas are fantastic, and we can’t forget Daisy, who adds her own charm to the place.
My early morning sessions are intense, full-body workouts that push me in the best way. I told John my goal was simple, I just want one ab muscle! Knowing him, I might end up with a full six-pack. He truly understands the body, incorporates great stretches, and somehow makes me walk out feeling years younger. A miracle worker.
Beyond the workout, it’s also an hour of great conversation, music, laughter, “name that tune,” and John’s legendary storytelling. Honestly, I hate when the session ends… but life goes on until the next one.
If you’re thinking about starting no matter your age or shape, just walk in. You won’t regret it.“
