1059 Pompton Ave, Cedar Grove“I played guitar as a teenager but put it down for probably 25 years until I recently started taking lessons with Tom. He has helped reignite my passion for playing and with his help I've made a ton of progress as a guitarist. He mixes theory (while making it approachable) with learning songs, so I've built a solid foundation that I can then build upon in my own practicing during the week. I've had a lot of fun and found fulfillment from learning with Tom. Would recommend 5/5“

2 Gurney Terrace, Fair Lawn“My daughter absolutely loves her voice lesson with Ms Kathleen. It’s such a positive, encouraging environment where she feels comfortable exploring her voice and trying new things. Her confidence has grown tremendously, and it’s wonderful to see her so excited about singing!
And Ms Marina is an outstanding piano instructor. She strikes the perfect balance between technique, theory, and creativity, and tailors the lesson to my daughter’s needs and learning style. Her progress has been remarkable, and it’s clear she feels supported and inspired.
I highly recommend to any family seeking skilled and thoughtful teachers!“

915 Kinderkamack Rd, River Edge“My son has been coming to this place for nine months now. He has autism, and during his first few classes, I thought he wouldn't make it, as he struggled to sit still and follow instructions. However, Enzo—his instructor—with immense patience and calm, managed over the course of a few weeks to get him to sit down; now, he is able to follow instructions and has made tremendous progress. Enzo possesses a personality that radiates peace and trust; he truly understands my son and makes him feel comfortable—and that has been the key to his progress in his drum class.“

She was able to get into a selective school thanks to her academia and piano. The school also offers choir and composition classes.“

1595 NJ-23, Wayne“My daughter plays ? electric guitar. She previously had private lessons at home. She was so bored of the lesson. She wasn’t learning at all. I seriously never heard her play. So, we decided to give Bach to Rock a try.
At Bach to Rock my daughter just LOVES her instructor!! She is learning so much and is EXCITED TO PLAY NOW! I am so happy.
I have never heard her play so much at home! And it’s music?
Everyone is nice and helpful at Bach to Rock as well.
I encourage you, that if your child is struggling to learn, definitely look into taking them there. It’s totally worth it!
Thank You Bach to Rock ? you really are THE BEST!!
Rock on ??!!!

519 Pompton Ave #85, Cedar Grove“Jessica is the best vocal teacher. She is super knowledgeable and teaches in a way that is easy to understand. In my time as a student, she helped me so much with my vocal technique, choir repertoire, preparing for gigs, and working through certain issues I had. She always prioritizes vocal health and is super mindful of the well being of her students. I would highly recommend her!“

47 Prospect St, Midland Park“My daughter, Cynthia, took piano lessons at From the Top many years ago and it was a wonderful experience! She had a fabulous teacher who knew exactly what music to give her to keep her engaged and interested. We also enjoyed the many piano recitals that From the Top arranged! And it was a pleasure working with Lisa Plasse, the owner of the studio.“
3 - 8:30PM
16 Belleville Ave, Bloomfield“My daughters (both under 10) have been taking piano lessons with Mr. Ray for about seven months. They usually learn one or two new songs each week and have made good progress. For perspective, they have been taking piano lessons since ages 4/5, and play at least 15 mins. almost every day. I think having a private teacher is good to reinforce good techniques, and look at a piece from a different angle.
We’ve been with other studios and teachers in the past, and Mr. Ray stands out as both knowledgeable and easygoing. One of the best parts of the studio is the opportunity for students to perform in recitals and play in front of an audience. The teachers even perform during the recitals, which makes them really fun events.“

190 Westwood Ave., Westwood“Fast forward 25 years after decades of in again/off again guitar lessons when I was younger. I started taking guitar lessons with Vinny in October 2024 and have loved the experience thus far. He’s made music theory finally click. And his teaching style works with the way I learn. My playing has most certainly improved in these past few months. Looking forward to where this all can take me.“

303 Millburn Ave #202, Millburn“Our twin boys have been attending Natalie’s School of Music and Performing Arts for almost two years, and the experience has been wonderful. They take piano and vocal lessons with Prof. Tamara and her dedicated teachers Nini and Anya, who create such a supportive and inspiring environment for the kids.
In less than two years, our boys are already singing, playing piano, performing duets, and even learning guitar. It’s amazing to see their confidence and love for music grow.
We are very grateful to this talented and caring team and highly recommend the school to any family looking for a nurturing and professional music program.“
2 - 8PM
16 Chestnut St, Emerson“My son has been taking piano lessons with Ms. Joy for about four years, and we couldn’t be happier. She is incredibly patient and thoughtful in how she paces each lesson — never overwhelming him, but always keeping him motivated and engaged. What I appreciate most is how she makes learning the piano enjoyable, so it never feels like a chore.
She also goes above and beyond to create meaningful experiences for her students. Twice a year, she organizes wonderful recitals where students can showcase their progress. She makes these events truly special by recognizing each child with named trophies, medals, or thoughtful gifts. On top of that, she encourages students to participate in auditions, which has given my son valuable opportunities to grow, take on new challenges, and significantly improve his skills.
We feel very lucky to have her as a teacher and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an inspiring and dedicated piano instructor.“

959 Lincoln Ave, Glen Rock“My 2 sons have taken lessons at Architekt Music since they first opened in Glen Rock, on various instruments with various instructors. They have always been happy with their teachers and have progressed beautifully. Architekt's admin team is a dream....no matter who I speak or email with, they are super responsive, accommodating, and kind. Both the Glen Rock and Butler studios are beautiful and I love going to see the end of semester shows at the Butler stage. Their prices are very reasonable and I appreciate that they don't require you to sign up for an ensemble class, unlike another local music franchise with the initials SoR. ;) I will never forget how seamlessly Architekt pivoted to virtual lessons at the beginning of the Covid pandemic. I was so grateful to them for quickly offering lessons via Zoom so that my sons could keep their routines during a very scary and uncertain time. Shout out to instructors Alex (guitar) and Janine (piano) for making such a great impact on my boys. I highly recommend Architekt Music!“
“I’m writing this 5 star review through the lens of a mom of (almost) 1 year old twins, a Kindie musician, and a licensed K-12 music educator, with over 20 years of experience teaching. Rockness Music is such a wonderful program, and you should absolutely sign your kids up. Mr. Michael brings such fun to each and every one of his classes. He’s engaging, treats the kids with love and respect at every moment, and brings educational content that the kids really love. They learn about new instruments, move their bodies with a weekly dance party, and get to use their imaginations throughout. He also can pivot at a moment’s notice to reflect the interest of the kids; one of the students was excited about a plane flying overhead today in class, and Mr. Michael improvised a song about airplanes right on the spot, including actions for the kids to do and everything. You can tell how passionate he is about what he does. If you’re thinking about signing your kids up, do it. They will have the best time, and they will grow up loving music.“

“For all of you who do not know, this is a home business with an extremely professional musician who engages children into music successfully. At least once a year, your child will form part of a concert where the skills are well shown and the child's progress are seen. The teacher, Yulia, has very well demonstrated with my son that a young child who knew nothing about music has reached a decent level within approximately 2 years, plays in a concert, and I've seen my son deliver better in school, concentrating in his subjects, and just this semester comes home with all A's. I highly believe the teacher is great, music is great for children, and if you have an opportunity to keep your children off the streets and off the phones just for some time to teach him something else, this would be a great opportunity to take your child to a next level, a level to achieve greatness...“
