Received a message from our normal supplier that they would not be able to provide our scheduled fill due to 'billing issues with their supplier' (not a good sign for that company...), and we were almost on empty. “Three years ago Patriot Heating & Cooling replaced our 15 year old HVAC unit with a Trane system. This past week the system failed to produce heat, and we contacted Patriot for service. It was a very busy week with single digit temperatures, but Patriot managed to get a technician to our home in two days. An expensive replacement part was thankfully fully covered through a 5 year Trane warranty, however an out-of-state shipment of that part delayed a fix by another day. On Friday morning the new circulating pump was installed and the heat came back on. Unfortunately, 24 hours later the system failed again. It was a Saturday, and like all other service businesses, Patriot's office was closed. I left an emergency message on Patriot's phone system, and within 15 minutes I received a return call. The standby service technician was hours away, so the service coordinator immediately contacted the owner of the company, who minutes later called me directly. He took it upon himself to fulfill the service call himself, and within the hour he arrived at my home. Art told me he started the company 40 years ago, and for 27 of those years he personally placed himself "on standby" for emergency repairs. He refused to let my situation without heat wait until Monday when businesses were again open. He discovered that a board on the control panel was damaged, perhaps due to a power surge. Again, the board was fully covered by a 5 year warranty, but the distributor who might have the part was closed. Art made a dozen calls to change that. Being a "Diamond Rated Dealer" brought attention to his request for immediate action. The distributor's warehouse was opened, the needed part was retrieved, and delivered for Art to complete the repair himself. I don't believe many heating and cooling companies would have been able to do that on a Saturday. The staff at Patriot Heating & Cooling have always been professional, fair and caring - which sets them apart from their competition. I highly recommend them for your heating and cooling needs!“
