Appointment was good, they have a very knowledgeable staff, especially Erica. She answered all my rookie questions without being condescending. Definitely going back.“

6612 Holder Rd, Clemmons“We’ve been bringing our dogs to Charlie’s K9 Camp for over six years—basically since the moment we moved to Winston-Salem—and we can’t imagine trusting anyone else. From training and grooming to boarding and doggy daycare, their team has supported us through so many life transitions, including moving homes and welcoming our first baby.
What really sets Charlie’s apart is how much the staff genuinely cares. They know our dogs by name, celebrate their quirks, and consistently go above and beyond to make us (and them) feel like family. It’s such a comfort knowing our dogs are in loving, capable hands whether we’re gone for a few hours or a few days.
If you’re looking for a trustworthy, experienced, and compassionate team for your training, boarding, or grooming needs, we highly recommend Charlie’s K9 Camp!“

5400 Indiana Ave, Winston-Salem“Winston Veterinary Hospital deserves five million stars, and then some. ? We’ve been bringing our pets there ever since we moved back seven years ago, and the care has been nothing short of extraordinary. They supported us with so much compassion and tenderness through the years we had our three senior babies, and now they continue that same exceptional level of care with our new little ones.
The kindness, empathy, and genuine heart of everyone on this team is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. From the moment you walk in, you feel like family, because that’s exactly how they treat both you and your pets. Their dedication and warmth truly set them apart, these incredible humans operate on an entirely different level, and we are endlessly grateful for them! ♥️“

6043 Old U.S. 421, East Bend“My dog Apollo had been very sick for weeks and after 3 visits to our vet we kept getting no answers and no help so we came here. It was such a breath of relief compared to what we had been dealing with. Dr Leon took the time to listen to what had happened to my dog, what were his symptoms, what had the other vet tried to do to treat him, and then he went through what he thought the best course of action would be. He told us from the beginning he suspected it may be cancer and to be wary, but that he would still continue to try everything he could incase that it was something else. We had no trouble getting seen and weren’t being charged $120 emergency fee everytime we needed to be seen or speak to someone like my other vet had been doing. Even when I was just going to pick up medication Dr Leon took time out of his day to come talk to me, see how Apollo was doing and tell me what the plan was if this did or didn’t work. He was very accommodating and worked to try and find a solution to what was happening. Unfortunately it was cancer and there was nothing we could do further to help him, but every one was very kind to us during the process of putting him to rest. I have nothing but kind things to say about this place. They genuinely care about their patients and the people who come here. They listen and we weren’t excessively overcharged and told we needed unnecessary treatment and supplies like my previous vet had been doing.“

336 Witt St, Winston-Salem“Great place and wonderful staff. Our hound dog has been to Ruff Housing Witt infrequently over his 9 years and yet each time we approach the building and lobby he is excited. He doesn't look back going back to see 'friends' and best of all at the end of his stay he is totally exhausted and sleeps throughout the night. Good job Ruff Housing!“

5648 Country Club Rd, Winston-Salem“First, sorry for the long review but wanted to be comprehensive. We took our previous dog, a Belgian Mali mix, to Ruff Housing for daycare and boarding. They were great with him. We had to say goodbye to Mr Newton in May at the age of 14. About 10 weeks ago we adopted a 1 year old German Shepherd from a rescue organization and yes, lots of energy.... like way lots. Today is his second day of daycare. Their people know different breeds and especially their age/temperaments. They have been INCREDIBLE with him for far. As a coincidence, he already has a buddy who's another German Shepherd.
Highly recommend Ruff Housing for both doggie daycare and boarding!
Sampson and his new buddy!“

2635 Neudorf Rd, Clemmons“We have always had a great experience with Dr Pugh and the team! We brought our cat Zeke in in February for what seemed to be a urinary blockage and they helped us figure out a plan for him to get him feeling better! They were super patient with him (he’s not the nicest) and have us peace of mind knowing he was taken care of. Our girl Sadie has always been afraid of vets and becomes fear aggressive. The staff were super sweet to her and while it’s still something we are working on we have hope one day she will grow to love coming in. Our new pup Cane also received the best care getting loved on and lots of treats during his checkup! As a pet owner it can be hard to find a trustworthy vet. The staff here have excelled at commitment to care of our pets! We are so grateful for them and all their hard work, from the vets to the ladies up front and vet techs. We couldn’t be more appreciative of all of them!“

“Have been taking my 2 canines to Dr. Schill & Dr. Hoffman for many years. One of my canines crossed The Rainbow Bridge on 6/23. The whole staff including Dr. Schill could not have been more compassionate with lots of hugs & tears....an awesome staff who is extremely helpful & knowledgeable. I wouldn't take my canines to any other vet office.“

“I took my newly adopted shepherd mix to Jim in desperation and hopes he could turn things around. I was pretty hopeless going into it and after my session with Jim I left with the tools needed to continue training my dog at home. The techniques and skills Jim used (and taught me) changed the dynamic of my relationship with the dog. Thankful to say the dog is a loved member of our family now, thanks to Jim.“
