I have many health issues and see specialists at both Duke and UNC but work with John because 1.He is always prepared to see me by reviewing notes and history. 2. He explains things in detail or basic terms. 3. He advices me on the pluses and minuses of alternative approaches both surgical, (he is a board certified MD). 4. Answers questions with researched based info and real world experience. 5. Appointments are not difficult to book and on-line check in works well. 6. Appointments are never rushed!

This should not be a surprise as he has been trained in the top ortho/sports medicine institutions and still acts like a regular guy!!“

“I had an appointment today with Dr. Luting Eckensweiler because I was having some pain in my hip area. The receptionist was very helpful in getting me checked in. The nurse I saw first was so efficient and friendly. The moment Luting came in I felt relaxed and knew I was in the right place. She was so friendly. I could tell immediately that she had read my chart because she was able to retrieve all my info without asking me. After she diagnosed my problem. She said since you are visual learner (that was also in my chart) she drew a diagram so I could see what she was talking about with my hip) I was so pleased with my appointment….looking forward to getting back in shape! The administrative staff person who checked me in was terrific - warm, professional, quick, and answered all my questions. The nurse was great, and the doctor was wonderful. She did a thorough check, diagnosed my eye problem, and handled the treatment and my paperwork quickly, kindly and with care for me as a person. I am delighted with the care and treatment I received here.“
