“My wife Brook and I recently moved to the area and were looking for an eye doctor and randomly picked Eyes on Lake Norman and what a great pick. Dr. Sugarman was great, listened to me, answered all of my questions and took his time to make sure he had addressed all of my concerns and he did, a 5 start eye doctor. The staff he has working with him are all 5 stars. They made us feel so comfortable, helped us pick out the glasses that were best for us and did so without trying to push the most expensive or a brand they "needed" to sale, they were truly helping us. This place is how a business should be conducted. Oh and the staff laughed at my "dad jokes", so you can believe that helped. Seriously I recommend this place to everyone and its truly a 5 star eye doctor facility in every aspect. THANK YOU Dr. Sugarman and staff!“

My daughter had a bad experience with an eye doctor, not related to this one, and their staff, in Charlotte when she was 4, she was afraid and they were rushing her and being impatient and pushy, and I was worried about how she would do this time. The staff HERE is friendly, sweet, nice, kind, warm, welcoming, they even calmed me down :D After seeing your terrified four year old, kick an eye doctor in the face two years prior, you would be nervous too, but ALL went well!! I LOVE THESE people and they are wonderful!!! I recommend them to anyone!! If you have a nervous kiddo, this is the place to go :) God bless!!“
“Dr Syracuse was amazing, super nice and took his time with me during my appointment. And the 2 girls at checkin were friendly, but past that, the only staff that made me feel like a human was the girl that did my eye tests, the other 2 need classes on compassion and kindness. The girl that went over my medical history and the one in the room with Dr Syracuse could benefit from a few compassion and kindness classes. I know how it is dealing with the public all day. I work in dentistry and have for 23 years. It’s hard, I know…. Overbooked schedules, emails and phone calls from patients to respond to, patients that are rude and disrespectful (but you have to grit you teeth and deal), etc…. Kindness is key. You never know what someone is going through, we all have our own story and giving someone the cold shoulder or cutting them off mid conversation is extremely disrespectful. I realize you only have so much time with each patient, but the goal is to make the patient you’re with at that moment feel as if they're the only care of yours at that current moment. Before meeting Dr Syracuse, I already had set in my mind that I wasn’t going to return due to the staff. But after meeting the Doctor, he changed my mind. He’s awesome! He just needs matching staff!“
