Although Dr Cole is great, the double charge that I was given is unethical and beyond the pale. $285! Let me start with my initial exam which was only partially done because Dr Cole found a suspected tumor. I was told to go to the ER immediately. Before leaving I was charged, and paid the $125 for the partial exam and was told that when the emergency was taken care of to reschedule and the $125 would be applied to the complete and future exam. Long story short, I returned 3 months later, completed the exam, bought my new glasses, and then got a call that I owed $160 for the "second" exam! I can see paying a balance for any new or additional testing, but to have to pay for a complete exam When I had already done so?!! When I went in to question this charge (which I have paid btw) I was told that there was no partial exam, each exam is seperate, and that I must pay the $160. Needless to say I feel ripped off and, after I get my new glasses, will be getting a new optometrist. I will also be telling my many friends that wear glasses NOT to use this practice. I'm so sorry that the word of a doctor cannot be believed.
