“My Chihuahua, Winky needed extensive dental surgery requiring a bone graft, this had to be completed by a dental surgeon out of state. Dr.Weaver was supportive and helpful in getting this referral for me at this very busy dental surgeons office within a month. Dr.Weaver may have saved my dogs life as she prevented a very bad outcome had this surgery not been done. She also put up with my many question's and consternation about this procedure.
I think the biggest support was her gift of listening.
Dr.Weaver has done the follow up exam and will continue to follow my dog, who is doing wonderfully.
Dr.Weaver is an excellent and caring Veterinarian. I cannot say enough about the expertise and caring that she and the wonderful staff have provided. I am in awe I found her and the wonderful folks in the office to provide such quality and care.“

Words cannot express the love and care we were shown in a most difficult situation. We were visiting the Asheville area with Farley (dog) and Sylvia (cat) in tow. Sylvia (age 16) became distressed and breathing labored. We needed a vet and quickly. I read a few reviews online and called WNC. They responded to our emergency and got us in quickly. It became obvious that Sylvia would not recover. They were so very kind and compassionate. They cried with us and loved on us. We were treated like family. We even received a condolence card in the mail with notes from all the folks we met there and an ink print of Sylvia's paw print. We will never forget the kindness shown. If I lived in Asheville, WNC would be our veterinarian!

“I've been to Laurel Park Animal Hospital twice for newly adopted pets, and they were great! I called 5 vets to just have stiches removed for newly spayed dog (couldn't take her back to rescue to have it done since it's closed due to hurricane damage), and all wanted to charge $$$ or were booking out months. LPAH fit her in and were very nice. I like that each room has a white board with pet's name and name of the vet and tech.

I will definitely be taking all my pets here going forward!“

“Ted is an awesome vet! We’ve used him for years! He is always so kind and very caring. He listens to what the owners say and does everything he can to make sure everyone is happy… including the animals. He’s made the worst experiences not so bad. As well as the vet technicians who are with him, they are always knowledgeable and friendly. They definitely make it a priority to keep our equine pals in tip top shape! Really can’t say enough good stuff about Ted and his team!“

“Best vet I've ever had. My 10 year old dog, Ziggy, had a bacterial infection on his leg for 5 months. He saw 3 other vets and was given tons of antibiotics and other meds to treat it (of course with side effects). I spent thousands on this issue with the other vets. In exasperation I drove from Asheville to Hendersonville to Dr. Howland. Dr. Howland asked if he could look at the bacteria under the microscope so we could treat the exact kind (what??why didn't the others do that?). He gave Ziggy a cream to treat it and it was gone in 2 weeks. The bill was $170. I literally was jaw dropped in the difference in care, price and customer service (the gals at the front desk are awesome too). Most vets have been bought out by private equity and run from corporate now - ie, have to give an expensive, elaborate "treatment plan" and charge at least $500 per visit but White Oak is a gem that still runs by knowledgeable skilled doctors and excellent staff.“

“1st visit. Mostly satisfied but had to remind the vet to check the cat's teeth which were found to have a lot of tartar. Doctor Stevenson said to stop using any canned cat food and that the dry cat food would clean the cat's teeth better. My little kitty weighed in at 18 lbs but has lost 1 pound since I adopted him.
I didn't think about it until I left but I didn't see the ears checked. Shouldn't have to ask for ears and teeth to be checked.
The staff is marvelous and carried my cat and carrier back out to the car for me. This will be my kitty's vet from now on.

My receipt is dated 1-5-18. Dr. Scott Stevenson DVM was the vet. If he never worked there then why is his (painted over)name on your billboard as well???“

“If you are looking for a vet for your new pet you can’t find a better place than Animal Hospital South. They have been carrying for our dogs for the last 9 years and we could not be happier. They really do care about your pets health and well-being. We just recently had to put our dog Ginger down. While it was one of the hardest decisions we have even had to make, they helped us thought he process and made sure that she was comfortable. We just received a card from the staff. “Initially, my pet rat was referred to Dr Bolt by my regular vet due to a worsening condition. Dr Bolt's knowledge in treating exotics is second to none. His practice has the specialized equipment necessary for diagnostics and medical treatment of very small pets. Dr Bolt's exams are thorough and his knowledge immense. After a detailed explanation of the issues he found with my rattie, he presented me with several treatment options depending on what I felt comfortable with. Dr Bolt is now my go-to veterinarian for all three of my rattie boys. I cannot recommend him enough. And huge hugs to Michelle and LeighAnn at Sweeten Creek Animal and Bird Hospital for being the sweetest, most caring ladies!!
