Mills River Animal Clinic staff and doctors were extremely helpful and friendly when my male cat had a life threatening urinary block. They hadn’t seen him as a patient before, but fit him in quickly and it saved his life. The doctor took time and clearly explained what treatment he received and what to expect next since he required transfer and additional treatment for a few days at an animal hospital. I would definitely recommend Mills River Animal Clinic to anyone in the area searching for a vet.

I’ve been going to Mills River Animal Clinic for the past 9 1/2 years and have loved Dr Jennie and now Dr. Elgard… Also, there is a doctor Chaney that is also amazing… All of the staff is so kind and loving and tender with our dogs and I appreciate that so very much since we have Chihuahuas I also love Elaine at the front desk. She is always eager to help and do whatever she can to help out in any situation that we have come across with our little dogs.

Dr Lisa Elgerd and staff at Mills River Animal clinic are wonderful! My small dachshund mix pup wasn’t feeling well and we had to call the clinic later in the day. They worked us in short notice and Dr Elgerd and her vet technician did a thorough exam and prescribed medication to help. Dr Elgerd called to check in on us the following day . Dr Elgerd is kind , compassionate and a smart Veterinarian. We are very appreciative of everything they are doing for our pup.
