“Christina is AMAZING! I went in with "pandemic hair" that was turning gray and that hadn't even been trimmed in over a year. My expectations weren't all that high because I'd really been neglecting my hair.Christina really pulled off a miracle! I left the salon feeling so beautiful (a rare feeling for me) and about 20 years younger. The transformation has been life changing! I'll definitely be going back!UPDATE: I was so impressed by Christina that I asked her to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. I couldn't have had a happier, more fun or better experience!First of all, being on a really small budget, I'd called a bunch of places (before meeting Christina) and Christina's prices were the ONLY prices that were REASONABLE. ALL of the other stylists and makeup artists, for me and my matron of honor, were asking for at least $750. Christina charged WAY less - including the trial for me. She was even okay with coming to my home, where my matron of honor and I were getting ready, on the morning of the wedding.Christina set the tone for the entire wedding day. Now I'm a really nervous person and I assumed I'd be extremely anxious on my wedding day, but Christina has such a calming, fun and confident presence about her that I couldn't help but feel the same way. That experience was priceless!Then there were her mad skills! She did my makeup first and she brought out something I didn't even realize I have - cheekbones! (See photo.) She also used false eyelashes, but they didn't look fake at all. They just made my eyes "open up" more if that makes sense and made even me look pretty! She did my best friend's makeup next and, well, my friend's beautiful anyway, but Christina made her look even MORE beautiful!Then she did our hair. I couldn't be happier with how our hair turned out. It's exactly what I'd envisioned in my head. Christina isn't just a stylist - she's a true artist. And one who made my wedding day even more special. I'll always be grateful to her for making me feel so comfortable, at ease and even beautiful on my wedding day.“

“Kelly Maxwell is absolutely fantastic! Her honed skills and attention to detail are amazing...a master at what she does. Long story short--I had been going regularly to a salon in SC, getting extensions and highlights. Little did I know how bad things really were with my hair, until one day it all fell apart...literally! Thank goodness I found Kelly! I messaged her and got a consultation right away. At my first appointment, Kelly took the time to educate me about my color and extensions...and why I was having problems with my previous extensions. She showed me all the damage that had been done, and educated me on what we needed to do to fix the situation. New extensions, and an amazing color correction later, I've never felt better about my hair. She is kind, honest, professional, and keeps things real. I appreciate her expert advice and guidance...and being able to go 12 weeks (three times longer than ever before) in between appointments...that's for highlights and extension move ups! She knows her stuff and it shows! Thanks, girl!“

“I’VE BEEN AWOKEN!!! ? Seriously though, I went to Awaken Hair Design and got my hair cut today. Idk about you but I always get REALLY nervous when going to get my hair cut.. Just because I don’t know the person cutting it.. They don’t really know me and how I wear it.. Most times I feel rushed at a salon?.. BUT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE AT ALL HERE!!! I had my hair cut by the INCREDIBLE KAT!!! I seriously cannot sing her praises high enough. She was so patient with me and actually listened to what I wanted. We discussed my trouble areas (I have dandruff and have started to lose my hair and it’s noticeable. I’m rather embarrassed by it.) but she made me feel SO COMFORTABLE, SO at HOME and SO WELCOME there. She listened to my concerns and actually worked with me to create the best outcome! I’m so happy with her work that I will not be going anywhere else. Thank you so much again for your attention to detail, your professionalism and conversation! It’s like I was chatting with an old friend that I’d know for years! All in all, if you choose to get your haircut.. Like.. EVER.. I would 100% recommend Awaken Hair Design. Kat is incredible.
