“I had my entire geodesic dome house roof (2000 sqft plus 1000sqft flat garage) replaced at 30,000 dollars (a breakdown of costs given later in the review, there was a lot of damage which caused this job to balloon up in costs). John Worden (the namesake of JW services) is a great guy. Starting off, his business was the first \"business\" that presented a well-kept together, knowledgeable front. Well organized, planed, and efficient. For the initial inspection (which is free) he came out on time to look at my roof. I have a very unusual roof, a geodesic dome, which causes it to be quite a peculiar project. He wasn't the cheapest quote I received, but he was what felt like to me the most honest. He mentioned the problems he noticed, the challenges he thought he might encounter, and even said some magical words which nobody else said \"I'm not sure what the correct way to roof this might be, let me reach out to my manufacturer to check\". Nobody else said this, others would go on about how easy it should be and didn't explain much about how the roof replacement would go. JW doubting himself is a GOOD thing, being able to say I'm not sure is a GOOD thing. It means he doesn't do bad work; he is constantly making sure he is doing something correctly, not just because he thinks it should be done this way. During the 14 days they spent on construction JW came out every day twice to make sure the contractors were completing their tasks correctly. He would take photos of damage, progress, and finished parts and share them with me daily/as needed to keep me updated. Over half of my roof had damage to the subsurface plywood, this is why it took so long to complete, that and rain which caused them to have to stop working and cover unfinished parts of my roof so not to damage the newly repaired parts. Afterwards, about a week later after the job completed, he called to follow up. He had noticed some things not correctly finished in the photos he was taking and was checking if it was okay to have a guy come out and follow up/clean up a mess on a metal flashing. He did give me an entire gallery to look at, it was full of every photo he had taken on the property, but I did not notice the problem myself. He had personally reviewed the photos himself, unprompted, noticed a problem and called me to ask if he could fix it (obviously for free). That's what a professional does, and its good someone takes such pride in their work. The cleanup around the house was well done, they were constantly cleaning the mess up day after day and were out there 8 am to 6 pm working hard. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. I purchased a product and service and didn't have to worry about it, or micromanage it, or follow-up. Sure, it was more expensive, but I got peace of mind knowing it was being done right the first time and I won't have to worry about it again. This is the gold standard level of service. Breakdown of costs: Quoted: 21k (fancy special roof, complete replacement) Fixing unexpected damage: 10k (basically had to replace half of the roof subsurface, replace plywood and reinforce damaged framing (there was a TON of damage, see photos)) Total: ~31k paid via wire transfer, but he also accepts checks I just prefer wires“

“Amazing place, very knowledgeable and helpful, lots of interesting types of wood. I like to roam around and find unique hobby pieces, but also buy regular lumber here, they take care of things so much better than big home improvement stores that you don't have to dig through stacks to find a decent 2x6 or whatever“
